Dead Father's Link Disabled

Dead Father's Link Disabled

Hello,

My father passed away suddenly. He scanned thousands of family photos onto Dropbox and gave us all the link. A few months after he passed, if not earlier, Dropbox disabled the link due to "something suspicious - like a lot of downloads in a day." The message provides no way of recovering the link.

How can I contact a human being at Dropbox to discuss this issue?

Thank you,

Alec Bowman

I'm sorry for your loss.

If you're not in control of the account that the link was generated from, it's unlikely that Dropbox will be able to do anything about the link. They wouldn't be able to re-enable a link for an account you don't own. One possibility would be to gain access to the account, if possible. There is no phone support so you'll need to open a ticket. Refer to the following help article for more information.
