View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
My Windows desktop dropbox hasn't updated the Dropbox website files since July of this year. Most of my files are DOC files. I have the latest version of Dropbox.
I just bought a laptop and installed dropbox. A DOC files I made on the laptop updated almost instantly on the Dropbox website.
My desktop dropbox says "Downloading 609 files..." for about 24 hours now. All those files are DOC files.
What's going on? Why hasn't my desktop updated since July? And why is it taking forever to download 609 DOC files on a cable network.
My Preference says Not to limit bandwidth.
Hey @aureliozl3, sorry to hear about this.
Have you rebooted your computer at all since you first noticed this?
If you did and this persists, you could try fixing your hardlinks and permissions as outlined here.
Let me know of any updates!

I've rebooted and tried the steps but I'm not seeing "Fix Hardlinks" anywhere in the window. Here's a screenshot.

Are you holding down Alt+H while on this tab @aureliozl3?

No @Walter because nowhere in the link did it say to do that. It said to press the spacebar and other links mentioned the Windows button but you're the first one to mention ALT+H.
Anyway, that made the button appear, so I clicked it and Apply. I'm not seeing any kind of change though.
@Walter it's been stuck like that for three days now.
Hey @aureliozl3, sorry to jump in here.
Can you please hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray and let us know which version of the Dropbox application you're using?

Hey @aureliozl3, thanks for clarifying that for us.
Would it be OK if we reach out via email to have a further look internally at this point?

That would be wonderful, @Walter. How do I PM my email address to you?
