Error when trying to open PDF on a Windows computer

Error when trying to open PDF on a Windows computer

Hi everyone. When I try to open a file in Dropbox I get the message from Windows 'The system cannot get access to the file'. Till now it has only happened with PDF files. I also see little brown boxes as an icon when I display all the PDF files in my Windows viewer. Can someone help me?

Thank you!

Hey @Fien, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are the files currently set to "available offline" or "online-only"?

And what's the sync status of the Dropbox application? You can hover your mouse over your Dropbox icon, to see this info.

The brown boxes on the files should be OneDrive icons. Can you disable OneDrive, to see if that helps?

Keep me posted.
