Hello! I have used dropbox in the past to transfer audio files from my phone, to Dropbox and then download to by computer. Now when I add a file to dropbox and try to download it to my computer I get an error message that says "There was an error downloading your file". I have not been able to download from Dropbox since August regardless of the size of the file. I use the desktop version so do not have an app to update. Any suggestions?

Hi @vdavis06093, let's jump right into this!

If I understand the situation completely, it sounds like this error message is coming from our website, when you try to download your audio files, right?

if not, feel free to clarify more for me.

Have you tried using an entirely different browser? Also, do you happen to know the size of the files you're trying to download?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hi!

I am using a Chrome on my Android phone to access Dropbox but now I could not download any files from the website anymore. The exact message that I received is "there was an error downloading file". I tried the approaches online including deleting the cache and switching MS Edge, and both did not work. Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Hi @gqcao, could you try using a different network connection, or cellular data to attempt to download some files?
