View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
I have a problem where I upload a good quality PDF to dropbox, and when I come to preview it, the quality is much worse... the resolution is terrible and in some cases I struggle to read the PDF. Downloading and viewing it Adobe Acrobat is really not practical for me... I'm using the dropbox app for windows 10
Any ideas?
thanks
It seems to be with all images, when you zoom in, dropbox doesn't load the extra detail
The preview page displays a lower resolution image by design. It's simply a preview. If you need to see the file in its original quality, you need to download the file and open it on your computer.

Pretty sure I posted a brief reply last night effectively saying 'shame on you Dropbox' for taking such a cavalier approach by discontinuing a feature that is important to many loyal users.
Beginning to suspect this forum is censored. This would be the 3rd or 4th post that has appeared immediately but then somehow vanished hours later.

Um why? This used to be fine before. Now we cant look at pdfs unless we download them(the preview is unreadable)? What is the point of the dropbox app or the website then? You basically are saying the only way to share files is to share a zip file but tell them "dont look at the pdfs because you need to download them". How can I turn the downgraded preview thing off?
