View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
I automatically upload my iOS photos to Dropbox for permanent storage. We have a paid account. A while back, I exported a large selection of photos, probably 75, back to my iPad to display them on the tv. Now I cannot delete them from my IPad or iPhone. I delete these 75 photos and they keep coming back. I have been working with Apple since May and there has been no resolution so far. Is there possibly a reverse sync going on where Dropbox continually downloads those selected photos over and over? I didn’t think so but I am trying to eliminate any possibilities. Thank you for your any feedback.
Hey @Joycegtx1951, thanks for posting this on the forum!
In general, as soon as your files have been uploaded to your Dropbox app, they’re no longer linked to the original ones on your phone. The same thing goes for files that have been downloaded from Dropbox to your device, so it’s not possible for Dropbox to be causing this.
In this case, I’d suggest checking with Apple whether there could be a third-party app on your phone that could be causing this.
Hope this clarifies things a bit.

Thank you for confirming. I’ve been working w Apple since beginning of May and no resolution so far.
Thanks Nancy. I was pretty sure that was true but I needed to confirm and eliminate. This has been going on since May and Apple doesn’t seem to be able to isolate the problem.
