dropbox fails to download last of a folder of files

dropbox fails to download last of a folder of files

I tried to download a folder of video files, and download created a .zip.download file that was non-functional. On the downloads pulldown menu in Safari it said the download "stopped" and when I clicked "reload" nothing happened.

The folder was 13GB total, less than the 20GB limit on download. But whatever! As a tedious workaround for dropbox's mysterious failure, I went and downloaded the files individually. I got to the 10th one and it wouldn't download, it would just create a *.download file.

I cleared the Safari cache. Please help me get dropbox to function, thank you.

Hi @konrad-cunytv, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please try another browser or a private browsing window without any plugins or extensions running and let me know how it goes?

Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your timely and helpful response!

I did have a chance to try on another browser and computer and I was able to download all the files.

The issue may have been partly or completely due to my running out of space on the portable drive I was using. I started on a Mac using Safari and there was no indication that I was running out of space. The *.download files would simply appear and not continue downloading. As soon as I tried on a PC using Edge I was alerted that I didn't have enough space on that drive to complete the download.
