My OS (iMac Ventura) has just udpated Dropbox. Now, however, if I create a new file, it does not get uploaded. Furthermore, the Dropbox app says that it's syncing,  and it has done so for hours, but in fact it doesn't.

Hi @mgiuseppetti, welcome to our Community!

When did you update your Dropbox app? If you updated recently, and the app is still syncing, that would explain why new content isn't immediately synced to your account online.

You'd need to give it some time to sync, and be fully up to date. What is its syncing status right now?

Keep me posted!

I'm having a very similar issue as the OP. I just upgraded to Ventura and my Dropbox app was stuck on indexing files. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox, enabled full disk access, restarted my computer, checked the online version to see if I could upload there (I could), checked on my iPad to see if that app was updating (it was), and still my Dropbox app is stuck on indexing files. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Doing the advanced reinstall appears to have solved the problem, but I still don't know why it was necessary to do it.

Hi, thanks for this. How do I do an advanced reinstall? Thanks! M.
