Billing
241 Topics'We couldnât process your payment' error when trying to update my billing info
Dropbox Plan: Plus Payment Method: Card Today, dropbox sent me the following message: âRomanos, we couldnât process your payment. Update your billing information now before you lose accessâ. Indeed, I have found that dropbox has not debited the amount owed from my bank card for February and they claim that they are unable to do so. They asked me to update my payment details, but every time I try to do so, I get the following error message: âError in call to API function /2/checkout/update_billing_infoâ. However, the problem does not lie on my side. In other words, my bank card is active and capable of online transactions, while the bank I contacted does not recognize any problem on its side. In other words, there has been no call from dropbox to pay my monthly subscription for February. Does anyone know what might be happening?Solved50Views0likes2CommentsTell Us How You Use Dropbox

FAO Dropbox management. Seniors, with exceptions, once retired tend to be time rich but financially poor. They have can have assets e.g. house and car, essential items, but not much disposal income - even governments recognise this. In some ways they are similar to educational students, but are often neglected, despite the fact that seniors are living longer than ever before and so present as a growing group of potential customers that is often overlooked by companies more anxious to pursue the youth market. My suggestion is to have a pricing tier specifically for this age group, perhaps a 'lifetime' option, as this group like to have certainty and security in their lives and would appreciate an up-front option knowing that their online resources will be secure going forward whatever their future financial circumstances. There are a good number of online storage companies offering 'lifetime' options to the general public e.g. pCloud, Proton, Icedrive, Filen, Koofr among many others etc. Seniors also tend to be loyal, staying with an organisation once committed, whereas other age groups are understandably more likely to be switching for better offers. So, this should not be a particularly difficult decision for Dropbox to make, and also the PR would be very good for the company. Seniors are now more active online than ever before - even running YouTube channels, and tend to appreciate 'word-of-mouth' recommendations from fellow seniors. Thus making the awareness of a good marketing opportunity better known throughout their peer groups. That is my suggestion and I do hope that Dropbox will give it due consideration. Please add Google Pay (and perhaps Paze / Apple Pay / Samsung Pay) as payment options for paid Dropbox subscriptions since PayPal sucks and many of us dont want to enter sensitive card details into third party websites like Dropbox.Solved76Views0likes2CommentsI need help, I haven't received my refund.
On January 16, a charge was made to my card for an annual subscription that I did not purchase. That same day, I contacted Dropbox customer service and was told that a refund would be processed and that I would see it reflected within a couple of days. It has now been 15 days and I have not received my refund. Could you please provide me with the status of my refund? Not sure how this all works but what, since no one discussed it, it is now dead? How are people supposed to know about it? You are missing a good opportunity to retire rich here!! Doesn't anyone understand the implications of a successful plan to do what my idea described. A Live Stream Link onto drop box that viewers could watch a live production. AND, have a payment plan that we could sell the stream to viewers. DropBox through a payment plan could also then pay the copyright fees to the music license holder so we no longer get flags and muted for having live music on our production!67Views0likes2CommentsGetting Invoices by Email
Two big suggestions, that are already commonplace out there with different online services: 1. Actually send invoices/receipts to the billing email address specified. I just found out from Support that invoices are only sent to the billing email address if the user is paying by check or manual transfer. It should be possible to ALWAYS send invoices, regardless of how the bill was paid. 2. Allow specifying a billing email address. Currently this is limited to the Billing Admin (which in my case is just the Admin). It would be very convenient if I could set the billing email address to something like "invoices@mycompany.com". Currently the only way to do that is to actually create a new user and use up a license just for this separate email address.63Views0likes1CommentI have a Basic account but got charged - why?
I had a Basic Dropbox account while I was working (retired last year). I just noticed a charge for $119.88 on my credit card.
