The zip_batch endpoint isn't part of the public API, so I can't offer information on it or recommend trying to use it, as it is subject to change without warning.

That's correct, my sample was a link for a file, so it can offer a Content-Length. Your example is a link for a folder, which is compressed on the fly, so the Content-Length isn't available.

This error is based on the interaction between certain versions of both requests and urllib3. I recommend uninstalling both and reinstalling requests and its dependencies in order to get compatible versions.

How big is the file you're trying to upload when this occurs? The updown sample doesn't use upload sessions, so it can only handle small files. For example, the 1 GB file you mentioned earlier would be too big. If you need it to support large files, you'll need to update it to use upload sessions. Otherwise, this might just indicate transient server/network issues. The Dropbox content servers are working properly in my testing right now though. If you're still seeing this, there may be something interfering with your connection. Do you have anything on your network connection, e.g., firewall or proxy, that may be preventing your app from successfully connecting to the Dropbox servers?

The api.dropboxapi.com host is currently being served with a valid certificate, so it's not clear why your client isn't trusting it. (Is there any security software, e.g., firewall, or a proxy that may be intefering?) In any case, the /2/files/list_folder endpoint does need to be called on the Dropbox API servers, for which either of these host names are valid: api.dropbox.com api.dropboxapi.com The /2/files/download endpoint does need to be called on the Dropbox API content servers, for which either of these host names are valid: api-content.dropbox.com content.dropboxapi.com (Note that at the end of your post you mentioned "content.dropbox.com isn't available in v2". That is true in that "content.dropbox.com" is not a valid host name, but "content.dropboxapi.com" is valid and does serve API v2.)

Are you referring to calling /2/files/list_folder with include_media_info=true? If so, there is an expected delay on results being returned there, while the media information can be prepared. The amount of delay can vary, especially if there are many files or a lot of activity in the account.

This path/conflict/folder error indicates that the upload failed because there is already a folder at the path where you're trying to upload the file (specified by `dest_path` in your code): https://dropbox-sdk-python.readthedocs.io/en/latest/moduledoc.html#dropbox.files.WriteConflictError If you're trying to upload the file into that folder, you'll need to include the full desired path, including the file name. E.g., `"/folder/file.ext"`, instead of just `"/folder"`.

The Dropbox API doesn't offer the ability to download entire folders like this, but I'll be sure to pass this along as a feature request. (The Dropbox web site uses a different, internal interface for this.)
