Hi @Jane Facetiously, excuse, yep - been there, done that. any attempt to uninstall results in: Oops, sorry big was too big and medium is too small. I imagine oyu can pull that out, yes? I've run through the Uninstall you suggested above and the two methods of uninstalling from the control panel / setting both invoke the DropBox installer and fails as the picture above shows. Doesn't matter whether I run it as admin or a normal user. Even though I'm a 70+ old fart, I'm reasonably computer literate and have done about everything I can think of. The last resort before I posted my original mesage was deleting the files, deleting the setting files, removing registry entries and finally restarted the computer - I think it should have been clean for a reinstall which I did using the downloaded advanced reinstall. The install seems to complete with no problems (at least none indicated) but still refuses to run from the system menu. It can't it's own file ... I'm open to any ideas!

Let's start with the obvious. The dropbox icon on the taskbar has gone away.
Trying to run Dropbox presents me with:
Okay, DropBox can't find the file that I'm showing in the background. No problem that I can see with permissions - read and execute for users.
Uninstall DropBox = Uninstall failed.
Forcibly uninstalled DropBox - deleted all DropBox Files; removed all DropBox related registry entries. (Revo Uninstaller)
Reinstall from (forgete the name) downloaded from DropBox rather than an online install. The install appears to complete correctly but once again I see the "file can't be found"
Am I frustrated ... don't even ask!!!
