Just to clarify, can you let me know which version of the desktop app you're running? If you have a beta version (denoted xx.3.xxx ) then I would recommend downgrading to the latest stable version by:
Going to your Account settings page online here.
Toggling off the option "Early releases" at the bottom of the page.
Downloading the latest stable version from here.
Can you also let me know which version of the OS you're computer is running?
