Update: I wondered whether any different storage tiers would ever materialise (I didn't hold my breath), and so I spent the remaining time of my subscription checking out other options every now and then... Well, with my downgrade happening on Monday 17th February, I've moved my files over to Google Drive. And so ends over 9 years with Dropbox.

I totally agree. It's not just the price increase that annoys me (I know that investment, cost in developing and maintaining the product/service, inflation etc are factors)... it's the 2TB 'all or nothing' proposition. For me, Dropbox works perfectly - it functions exactly how I want, it's customisable, flexible, and highly reliable... I just don't need 2TB. Heck, I didn't need 1TB, but I was willing to overlook this as the price was reasonable. My subscription expires in February 2020, so I guess it's in Dropbox Ltd's hands. They still have time to listen to their customers before a lot let their subscriptions run out. 1TB or 2TB sounds like a great idea in this day and age with all the data we're using, but no one company has a monopoly in this market: iCloud, Lightroom, Office 365 / OneDrive and we often use a mixture of products to suit our usage. So what will I be doing if nothing changes? I'll be moving my Dropbox files over to my 200GB iCloud storage.
