Thanks Walter for the speedy reply. The reason I, and many people use Dropbox, is that we have run out of space on our computers, laptops etc. This makes the Sync/Desktop feature that you recommend using, completely redundant. If we had room on our laptops to store everything, we wouldn't need it to be in the cloud right and paying DropBox to get our stuff off hard drives and laptops? In NZ our broadband speeds are slower than sick snails so I have no idea how else I can back up my video files to the cloud in another way. Also, when the non-sync way is used and there is interruption, a glitch, or the WiFi fades momentarily, and you have to start all over again, there seems no way that DropBox can automatically scan what has already been uploaded (as all computers can do with copy/move files "This file already exists in this location, do you want to replace / skip / stop?") - instead it starts all over again, meaning I now have 3 copies of the first 200 or so files from the hard drive representing each fail. This is day 4. Some of this would be solved by me purchasing the Professional (I'm on Plus) version, but given (like many) I also pay for BackBlaze, Google and iCloud services, I feel the SmartSync is kind of the basic feature everyone wants; drag everything you want in the cloud to that folder on your desktop and let it do its thing and THEN be able to navigate /search/browse your cloud folder/file system from your desktop (I find your browser based folder and file system truly awful to try to intuit by the way). Anyway thanks for the reply, which is 'no', what I want to do is not possible. Onwards.

I'm uploading (not syncing) 4000+ video files.I want to pause the 6 day upload as I'm travelling for two days. I've searched many previous forum Q&A but everyone seems to be talking about pause and resume for Sync. This is not syn, just an upload (a massive one) to Dropbox.
