I use Dropbox since more than 10 years.
I use it on this (same) computer since 5 years alone. So, it always worked and I know how to use it.
Since a few days it is absolute nuts and unusable. Whenever I start to copy files to the Dropbox the CPU Usage goes up to at least 35%, laptop fan starts to spin fast. It never did that before, neve before the last years on this laptop. Especially crazy it gets if I start to RE-name a folder. I acts completey crazy, blocks me from typing the new name after 1-5 chars, renames the folder to just 1 char then, CPU usage is up at 100%... even when I STOP sync it does not change. Last time it went into a LOOP of re-naming the directory do a few chars, rename it back, rename it new, rename it back. I do all that tasks within windows explorer in the dropbox folder. What the hell is going on with Dropbox?
Can I go back to a stable version somewhow?

Hi I have a dropbox account with 6.5 GB size (from invitations) The desktop app shows 65% are used (thats 4,25 GB) When I let windows count my "Dropbox" Folder it says "1.6 GB and 3554 files" When I log in to dropbox.com and check my account it says Normal Files: 2.91 GB Shared Files: 1.17 GB I am getting confused by those "normal Files" thing, and the different numbers. WHERE do I have to delete files, to get back my space? It seems that I sometimes share files with friends, delete them later, but they still count to my usage. As I only have 1.6GB of files on my hard-disk (Dropbox Folder in Windwos), I would like to know where the other 2.6 GB are gone... those might be the "normal" Files. But where on earht are they? How do I delete "normal" Files?? What does that therm mean? All my files are normal..none abnormal ones.
