It still has the problem reported here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Desktop-client-builds/Beta-Build-29-3-18/td-p/225422
It floods the Event Log with messages “Failed to connect to the driver: -2147024894, retrying in 1000 milliseconds”. It's really annoying. I disabled DbxSvc. It's not clear what this service is doing anyway. It doesn't have any TCP connections, it just sits there scretely doing something god knows what. Syncing works just fine without it, so I suggest everybody to disable it.
Windows 7 machine. Dropbox quit synching and then desktop quits responding. I have tried a clean install several times and it hangs up when the sign-in window appears. The sign-in is blank, then quits responding.
Severe problems with this version.
Also seeing the Event Log problem. (Win10 64 bit) Hope to see this fixed in the release notes for the next version.
My EventLog ist filled with the following Message:
Failed to connect to the driver: -2147024894, retrying in 1000 milliseconds
The Entry is cause bei the DbxSvc and appeas every second.
Windows 10 Enterprise 1703
I solved the dbxsvc problem by uninstalling Dropbox. The problem not only fills up the eventlog but kills the computer performance.
Win10 64
Turn off DbxSvc. It's useless.
Thanks patulus that worked! I guess I had a brain freeze because the wording of the error I didn't realize it was a service, yeah svc in the name is a clue but I don't believe names.
This version show so many times "Couldn't load the content". After I make the proxy global for a while, it change to normal, but I don't konw when is the next time.
Mac OS:10.12.5
Proxy setting: SOCKS5

Why would they leave running a service that's useless? Not that I don't believe you, just curious.
