I have been using Dropbox for a long time. It worked I never had to change anything from my initial setup. On going from Windows 10 to 11 my camera uploads changed from .jpg to .heic. Most of my use for Dropbox is uploading photos from my iPhone. I have searched through the setting menus on the Desktop App, the taskbar as Dropbox is always open and the web. I can't find the thing. Where is this camera setting?60Views0likes11CommentsHow do I stop Dropbox from uploading every single picture on my PC?
I use Dropbox on my computer to backup my work files which include my 3D renders that consist in a png sequence (one image per frame at 30 or 60fps), so I have thousands of png images related to renders but dropbox automatically adds them to the camera uploads in my phone app which is extremely annoying because I need to scroll down thousands of images to see my actual photos... if I delete them it deletes my render backup as well, it does the same thing for textures, which makes my photo roll unusable.54Views0likes6CommentsAdding photos from my iPhone. Backup vs uploading
I am trying to add all my photos from my iPhone 16 to Dropbox in order to delete them off of my phone. if I only use the backup feature can I do the above? Or do I have to upload each photo where I have to click each photo and it only allows 400 at a time? can you explain the difference like I’m 2 please. Because in my mind the way i understand is you’re suppose to use the backup feature for new photos so it saves going forward but if I put for all photos (since I’m new here) it should save them all. And the upload is like a second option42Views0likes2CommentsPlugging in my phone to my computer uploads duplicate Camera Uploads files
Hello all, sorry if it exist already (did not find the response to this): I use my iPhone SE (2) app to automatically do the camera upload, which works fine to get the media on the dropbox. But, sometimes I plug in my phone (MacOS catalina, maybe also with Windows 10) to charge and dropbox copies all media again as dublicates. The photos were not edited in any way. Anything I can do to prevent this?29Views0likes3CommentsHow to reset my camera uploads, I tried everything
Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7.2KViews1like91CommentsI'm not able to upload photos to Dropbox from my Android phone to my laptop
I got a new Galaxy S25+ phone. Dropbox is & has been installed on both. I've never had an issue transferring photos from my phone to Dropbox on my laptop before. On my S25+. I noticed that the file name for camera uploads will be automatically changed. Original file name: 20240330-164639 When uploaded to dropbox: 2024-03-30 16.46.39. Is there anyway to retain the original naming?153Views0likes3CommentsBoost your Photography Game with Dropbox in 2025

I've used DB for over a decade, so I know what I am doing. With each new phone, I install db and turn on camera uploads. From then on, every pic or vid I take, the file is first clouded and is then downloaded to each computer on which I have the db app installed. One day recently, however, it just stopped. I have plenty of storage in/on both my db account and on the HDDs on my computers. Can someone please let me know what is going on. Thank you very much!!!Solved61Views0likes11Comments
