The Dropbox app (v213.4.4597) stalls when syncing (Linux/Ubuntu 24.04).
Hi, I've noticed that the current version of Dropbox (v213.4.4597) on my Linux setup (Ubuntu 24.04.1) seems to stall and not appear to sync after a certain time once started. I have tested my internet connection and there doesn't appear to be an issue with that (I've updated the Wi-Fi connection, using a different dongle, and have tried wired internet, and I am getting c. 250Mbps down and 50Mbps up, and can web browse and download whatever), and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client (and the daemon) but the behaviour doesn't change. It seems that, very specifically, it happens when files are being uploaded on that machine to my Dropbox, and files are being downloaded from my Dropbox to my machine simultaneously. Eventually the files are uploaded and things 'unblock', but it can take hours for the situation to resolve. Is this an issue with this version? Is there anything else I can try to resolve this?My Windows computer won't sync to Dropbox.
My plan is plus. I tried re-downloading and re-synchronizing, but they all failed. I also asked customer service but no follow-up response. My native language is Chinese, so I am asking questions through a translator. Please forgive me if the grammar or semantics may be weird. I hope there are some capable people passing by who are willing to help and see how to solve the problem.QQ
My files are not syncing to my Mac computer
Hi, I have multiple folders I would like to sync in the dropbox app; however, only one folder's content syncs. The other I can see, but the content does not sync and it is stuck syncing. I see no evidence of indexing or "x files to go". I have tried reinstalling and rebooting the app, logging out, relinking my account to no avail. Thank you in advance for your help!Bring back File Request option in File Explorer.
I used to be able to initiate a "Request Files" by right clicking on the file I wanted the documents to go into. This is more efficient that having to go to the web version, as I 99.9% work out of the File Explorer on my PC. Please bring back the option to "Request Files" in the right click menu.
I'm seeing a green checkmark next to my Mac folders, even though their files are still syncing.
I've been in contact with support about what I was convinced was a bug. But they are suggesting it's expected behavior. Before, if you had a folder with some files still syncing to the cloud, the icon on the folder would show a sync-in-progress-icon. Now it's showing a green checkmark. This makes me very confused every time. I think the icon on the folder should reflect the fact that not all files have been synced to the cloud.
My Dropbox is stuck syncing/indexing 65000+ files on my Mac device.
My dropbox is syncing nonstop, states 65000+ items are indexing. It's been like this for over a month, and it's been affecting my ability to copy files and folders, both to local storage and external. I tried quitting dropbox and reopening several times. Even updated and restarted my Mac several times but the number of items kept going up. Dropbox version: v211.4.6008 Macos: 15.1
