Last year we had a teams account for a specific project which has now completed. My email was the admin account. After canceling the renewal since the account was no longer needed, my credit card is still listed as a payment method under my free/basic account with no option to remove it. I want my CC info completely removed from the system, but because it is a free account I have no access to dropbox chat/email/support/etc. Any idea how to get it off of there? I am not going to pay for another month of a subscription just so I can get in touch with them to remove my payment info.1KViews1like16CommentsCan I backup my WhatsApp chat messages directly to Dropbox?
Hi Is there a way of directly backing up my WhatsApp (messages only) to my Dropbox. I cannot find a way of doing this as my WhatsApp only appears to show Google storage as the only storage available for this particular backup Thanks1.1KViews0likes4CommentsThe Dropbox desktop application will no longer be supported for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 on October 22nd
Congratulations Dropbox! You've just put the nail in the coffin of all W7 users who prefer not to be spied on and constantly used for data scraping! Well done. If the constant scaremonger nagging about running out of space, the constant begging to upgrade, the incessant app updating demands, the constant USB device interrogation upon connection wasn't enough of an incentive to finally ditch Dropbox for good, then the cutting off of users of a still perfectly good and functional, non-spyware infested OS will be the last straw. Thank you Dropbox for giving me the incentive to go to your competitors instead and get out of your ever more bloated crapware ecosystem. Sometimes, people need a little push to get away from what's comfortable and familiar, even though they suspect just how bad that relationship is for them. I thank you Dropbox for giving me this little push. Goodbye.6.9KViews9likes28CommentsCan I get the actual creation date of the file, and not just the upload date?
I am not understanding how I can find out details on when a file was created. For example I have uploaded 714 PDF files today to a Folder PDF_11_10. When I look at the folder ALL the files show a modified date of today. Is there a way to get the actual creation date of each file and NOT just upload date. I have followed the instructions for 'file info' on Metadata but no luck. I would appreciate any solutions. Running on WIN11 with Dropbox PRO. Hi, the end to end encryption is only available on the business plus. Can I create a business plus account as one member team? Or is there any plan where end to end encryption would be available?Solved311Views1like2CommentsDropbox Capture — no “Select All,” or bulk actions other than delete?
Okay, I have a number of existing videos from Capture (fortunately, only 15, considering the below points) and I’d like to start organizing them. Now, you would think: There would be a way to select them all at once. Nope, I have to click the check box on each video. That using the “+ Create collection” button after selecting multiple selected videos would make a new collection containing those videos. Nope. Perhaps instead, a “Move to...” button to put them in an existing collection. Nope. Literally the only thing I can with a selection of multiple videos is to deselect them or delete them. To add insult to injury, if I select “Add to collection” on an individual video, the popup window default view is to have my company's folder open by default, which means that if I need to either close that or scroll to the bottom of the list in order to put it into one of my own collections. That wouldn’t be the end of the world if I only had to do it once for a bulk action, but I have to do it for EVERY video, one at a time. I hope that I’m wrong, and that someone will tell me where the actual functions are hidden. Thanks in advance...1.4KViews0likes2CommentsPeople I shared my folders with cannot access due to "not enough space" - this is unacceptable.
I am the tech lead for my church and I have people who take photos of services and events. I wanted to use Dropbox as a place where they could upload their photos and the Pastor and I could get them to use for our website and other multi-media uses. I personally upgraded to a 3TB plan so that I would have plenty of space for them to be able to share their photos and videos without the need to do so in small chunks requiring me to keep going in there and removing them. I wasn't aware that Dropbox counts shared folders against their storage space allotted. IF this is indeed the case, I'm going to want a full refund of the year I purchased in advanced. I don't like shady scummy practices like that. I have worked in consulting for years and have had companies use their file share services to share files with me and I could create new accounts there and get what I needed without ever running into anything like this. So I'm first of all wondering if there is a better way of doing this? Why should my entire team pay for the same space that I already purchased? I really hope someone has a solution that can work. Thanks in advance.911Views1like8CommentsHow can I check the size of my folders in Dropbox?
Question When I use my Dropbox from the browser I can see the size of my Dropbox and how much of that space is being used. But if I click on folders within my Dropbox I cannot see how many files are within the folders (without having to count them all myself), nor can I see the size of each folder. Is there a setting that will allow me to see this info? Thanks, BBNSolved6.5KViews0likes14Comments
