516 TopicsPricing Tier for Seniors
FAO Dropbox management. Seniors, with exceptions, once retired tend to be time rich but financially poor. They have can have assets e.g. house and car, essential items, but not much disposal income - even governments recognise this. In some ways they are similar to educational students, but are often neglected, despite the fact that seniors are living longer than ever before and so present as a growing group of potential customers that is often overlooked by companies more anxious to pursue the youth market. My suggestion is to have a pricing tier specifically for this age group, perhaps a 'lifetime' option, as this group like to have certainty and security in their lives and would appreciate an up-front option knowing that their online resources will be secure going forward whatever their future financial circumstances. There are a good number of online storage companies offering 'lifetime' options to the general public e.g. pCloud, Proton, Icedrive, Filen, Koofr among many others etc. Seniors also tend to be loyal, staying with an organisation once committed, whereas other age groups are understandably more likely to be switching for better offers. So, this should not be a particularly difficult decision for Dropbox to make, and also the PR would be very good for the company. Seniors are now more active online than ever before - even running YouTube channels, and tend to appreciate 'word-of-mouth' recommendations from fellow seniors. Thus making the awareness of a good marketing opportunity better known throughout their peer groups. That is my suggestion and I do hope that Dropbox will give it due consideration. Please add Google Pay (and perhaps Paze / Apple Pay / Samsung Pay) as payment options for paid Dropbox subscriptions since PayPal sucks and many of us dont want to enter sensitive card details into third party websites like Dropbox.Solved70Views0likes2CommentsDropbox Professional trial ended and I got charged. How to cancel and get a refund?
Dropbox Plan Dropbox Professional Payment Method credit card How did you upgrade? I "upgraded" by missing the cancellation deadline by one day. Question or Issue I signed up for a Dropbox Professional Trial a month ago, to receive some data from a consulting client. I had a family emergency yesterday, on the day that my one month Dropbox trial expired. I was upgraded and renewed for a full year. I was expecting a monthly subscription. I need to cancel and to obtain a refund. I have not moved one byte of data through Dropbox since my subscription was switched over to the paid subscription. My client might not have any more data to send me. I can accept paying for one month of service, but I do not need a year. Thank you.41Views0likes2CommentsI need help, I haven't received my refund.
On January 16, a charge was made to my card for an annual subscription that I did not purchase. That same day, I contacted Dropbox customer service and was told that a refund would be processed and that I would see it reflected within a couple of days. It has now been 15 days and I have not received my refund. Could you please provide me with the status of my refund? Two big suggestions, that are already commonplace out there with different online services: 1. Actually send invoices/receipts to the billing email address specified. I just found out from Support that invoices are only sent to the billing email address if the user is paying by check or manual transfer. It should be possible to ALWAYS send invoices, regardless of how the bill was paid. 2. Allow specifying a billing email address. Currently this is limited to the Billing Admin (which in my case is just the Admin). It would be very convenient if I could set the billing email address to something like "invoices@mycompany.com". Currently the only way to do that is to actually create a new user and use up a license just for this separate email address.48Views0likes1CommentI have a Basic account but got charged - why?
I had a Basic Dropbox account while I was working (retired last year). I just noticed a charge for $119.88 on my credit card. I thought the Basic plan was free, and what should I do now about getting a refund and canceling this account?39Views0likes3CommentsI can't see a full refund as mentioned on my existing Support ticket. Why?
Ticket #25863456 I found out that Dropbox had been taking money from my account using expired card details, without my consent or permission, or having provided them any new, valid payment details. I raised this issue, and on Dec 31, 2025, Louis said he took some steps to resolve this, including: "Issued a full refund of £79.96, which should appear in your account within 3–5 business days depending on your bank" It has now been more than 3-5 business days and I have not received the full refund as promised. I tried to reply via the customer portal but it said I no longer had access to it. I tried to reply via email, as they said I could, e.g. "If there’s anything else I can help with, just reply to this email and I’ll be happy to assist." So I did, and got this email back: "Hi, Thanks for reaching out to Dropbox support. Replies to this email are routed to an unmonitored inbox and will not be answered by our support team." This is absurd. Thanks.162Views0likes18CommentsHow to remove linked debit / credit card from my Dropbox account?
Dropbox Plan (Plus) Payment Method (Debit Card) Can you please help to unlink / unsubcribe / remove card details from my dropbox plus account. I previously paid yearly for Dropbox Plus Account and now I do not want to have this subscription. I tried in the BILLING SECTION but there's no way to delete the card details. I hope I can get your kind assistance and response.89Views0likes5CommentsMy account is a Basic one, but I received an email about an upcoming charge.
I have a received an email saying that my account will be renewed and charged 163.67$ on February 11, 2026. Once connected, my account is the Dropbox Basic which is free. I also have no bill to Pay that shows. Since the account was created for work and we don't want to use it anymore, I wish to delete it. Can I do it or should I terminate the forfait first? It also doesn't give me the option to terminate it on a computer. Thank you for your time.80Views0likes3Comments
