Dear community, I'm here to advice that the support have been denying us additional space for two weeks, first telling us that there was a momentary problem, then that we had made a request before the 7 days, then again (after waiting 7 days) that there is a problem which however is not written by Nowhere. We're really worried about that because they don't give us any timelines and the fact that the problem doesn't exist on the dropbox status page and that nobody else talks about it seems a bit suspicious. I don't like writing these posts but we are really worried don't you think? Are any of you having similar problems? do they only have it with us?116KViews14likes615CommentsHow to disable Dropbox almost full notification?

On Mac air with newest OS. I uninstalled the app, checked the hard drive, restarted the computer, barked at the moon, clapped twice and prayed to allah. The problem remains. I refuse to pay to upgrade. I cannot sync additional files.Solved118KViews10likes51CommentsWhy do shared files count against my space use???
Why are files shared with me counted against my space usage? Is this data counted twice? If someone who is sharing files with me is paying for this space, why should I have to pay as well just to access it? I am out of space, I have no intention of buying more space, and yet, when someone shares some files with me, I cannot access them and I am forced to buy space in order to access them. Why is this? Thank you.Solved26KViews4likes144CommentsIncorrect dropbox space usage on windows
Hi Guys, My local Windows Dropbox is fully synced with my online Dropbox. Windows Explorer file/properties shows my Dropbox folder is 576 MB but to my surprise, dropbox.com and dropbox app both say my dropbox is full. I have checked the plan tab and found my regular file size is 3.4 GB which is not correct. My shared folder only takes less than 100 MB. What is going on here? Why the discrepancy? Any inputs? Thanks, TaoSolved64KViews3likes675CommentsMy account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.33KViews3likes364CommentsBogus warning from Dropbox
Dropbox keeps sending me bogus messages that my dropbox is full and that my files will soon stop syncing. My dropbox is NOT full, and I resent receiving all these bogus messages. I'm afraid this is a dirty tactic by DropBox to blackmail me into upgrading, and that they will soon stop synching my files in order to escalate this blackmailing tactic. How do I get them to STOP sending me these bogus email messages, leave me alone, and maintain my free account without fear of losing my files? I will NOT be blackmailed by ANYONE, including Dropbox!3.4KViews3likes12CommentsHow to delete files when your drop box is full
My drop box is a personal account account and is full. How do I delete files to free up space as it won't give me access to my space / files? When I'm logged in it asks me to pay and upgrade - I don't see any alternatives which allow me to view current data so I can delete files. I don't want to upgrade as I do not use drop box that often.Solved29KViews3likes20CommentsLost earned storage data after downgrading subscripiton
I have used drop box for many years for free and had accumulated 5.75 Gb of extra storage space from inviting friends to dropbox. For the last few years I needed more space so got a Plus account. Recently, I downgraded back to a free Basic account and, although in my history still says that I have earned 5.75Gb of storage space, my account has reverted to only the 2 gb that one gets when signing up for free. It seems impossible to contact dropbox support. Does anybody know how to get those lost Gbs back??? Many thanks in advanceSolved7.8KViews2likes19Comments
