Full Emoji support in filenames
This idea needs no explanation. The issue was raised 8 years ago in 2017 and the idea was raised in 2023 and closed in 2025. https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001014/dropbox-not-syncing-files-with-emojis-in-the-filename/263856 https://www.dropboxforum.com/idea/101002013/full-emoji-support-in-filenames/836573 I use Dropbox to sync my Obsidian database (which is just a bunch of Markdown files) I just discovered that "Bookshelf 📚.md" is not syncing (I'm on macOS 15.5 and sync with Android and iPadOS) I'd like to use Obsidian freely and emojis are really helpful in naming my pages. Im sure there are a ton of other use cases that can leverage full emoji support. Creating a new idea so the idea can continue to work towards implementation. I realize this is a thorny issue and implementation may be difficult. I feel just because it's difficult doesn't close the "idea" of it being implemented. The whole point of conversation and discussion is to keep speculating on new paths to making it happen!
Can't view offline files on iPad without access to the internet
Something changed over the last couple of months. I have hundreds of JPEG photos of sheet music I made and stored in Dropbox, with each jpeg saved in the Dropbox app on my iPad to be viewable off-line so that I can access them while I perform. After many years of using it this way, very abruptly something changed and my stored offline jpegs and folders are no longer viewable on my iPad if I don’t have Internet access. They all still have the blue icon illuminated indicating they are stored to my app for offline viewing but if the internet goes, everything vanishes if I’m in a remote area without internet or cell service I can no longer access any of the images that are stored in the app for offline use ; this is a brand new issue after using Dropbox to do this for over a decade. is there something I can fix in settings? Or was something changed permanently about the iPad app?
The starred items on my Android mobile app appear in a random order.
Any idea why the starred items on my app homepage, which always previously displayed by most recently modified, are now in completely random order...? Even when I click to view all they're just all over the place, no rhyme or reason for the sorting. :/ I've restarted the app and cleared the cache several times. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, Android 12 (no more updates available for this model), Dropbox version 414.2.2
The middle mouse button scroll isn't working in the File section of Dropbox.
Scenario: Android Samsung S8 Tab in DEX with mouse. Middle button scroll works perfectly anywhere but in the file section of Dropbox. In Home, Photo and account section of dropbox the middle mouse button scrolling works. In file section it is not. Seems like a bug to us. Any take?
