Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!153Views0likes14CommentsHow to Integrate Dropbox with Salesforce
Hi everyone I’m looking for the best way to integrate Dropbox with Salesforce. Could anyone share the steps or recommend any apps that make the integration seamless? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance28Views0likes1CommentPlease implement a possibility to export all data to another Cloud Service
Please implement a possibility to export all data to another Cloud Service, just like Google did it with Google Takeout. For me flexibility is really important and so I don't want to use a Cloud Service, where I have to stay until I die if I can't or don't want to download all my data – which is with data from about 2 TV very difficult – and upload it to the other Cloud service…28Views0likes1CommentI can't attach Dropbox files on the iPad to external apps & web app
I use a web-based program called TherapyAppointment on my 10th gen 64 GB iPad which is running iOS 18.3.1. Until last night, I was able to attach small pdf files from dropbox to messages in TherapyAppointment. The process was seamless. Now, when I try to do this, I don't see dropbox at all. The same holds true for accessing +/or saving dropbox files via the Highlights app. Nothing in my setup has changed recently. I've already contacted TherapyAppointment who they say nothing has changed on their end. Any ideas about how to fix this?Solved58Views0likes5CommentsI can't see the top level folder in Adobe after the latest Dropbox team update
Our organization (Dropbox Advanced) recently was migrated to the Dropbox "team space" file system model. I have encountered no unexpected behavior with interacting with my files in macOS Finder or Windows Explorer in the usual way. However, I occasionally will use the Adobe + Dropbox integration to access PDFs in my Dropbox folders directly inside Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader, both in macOS and in Windows. After we were migrated, the Adobe + Dropbox integration (under "Other file storage" in the Acrobat sidebar) only seems to be able to access my personal folder within my Dropbox ("/[FullName]"), not the top level ("/"). Furthermore, the file storage label under "Other file storage" in the Acrobat sidebar is still "Dropbox ([OrgName])" instead of the new "[OrgName] Dropbox" as it it labeled in macOS Finder and Windows Explorer. I have disconnected and reconnected the Adobe + Dropbox integration inside Acrobat in both macOS and Windows, and the behavior is the same; no access to the top level. Acrobat is up to date in all cases. Is this a situation where Adobe has not updated their macOS and Windows Acrobats to accommodate these changes? My iOS Adobe Acrobat works just fine with the team space model, with appropriate and expected access to the top level of files. TIA, Joe1.2KViews0likes7CommentsProblem with Blender 3d and MacOS Beta
Hi I just updated to the MacOS Dropbox BETA on Monterey 12.6.3, and it all seem to be working perfectly, except for a problem with Blender 3D 3.4. Blender seems to use a non standard file manager, maybe part of its cross platform development base, I assume. When I try to access my newly moved dropbox files (ie everything) from inside Blender I cannot get into the root dropbox folder. I can get to it via /users/user/library/cloudstorage but I cannot get further than that. This effects everything involving file diologues: open, save, export, import, linked textures, etc I've tried setting up alias that go directly to points further within the file hierarchy, but they always just lead me to the root folder and stop me there. I can double click on blender files within dropbox in the finder and they open fine, but if I try to save them they can't save back to dropbox. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to fix or get around this? Do I need symlinks rather than aliases, or is there some sort of permission I need to set? Cheers PeterSolved3KViews0likes13CommentsMy GarageBand project files keep getting deleted/renamed when adding them to Dropbox.
Dropbox stores the garageband projects as packages (.pkgf) instead of .band files, which so far doesn't seem to cause any problems. Is garageband just renaming them to a generic format or is it actually something different? I'm having an issue with anything new I create in garageband on my phone and later copy into dropbox, the file either disappears completely or renames itself (greyed out) until I open dropbox and rename the file. I would like to get the files off my phone, I used to use iCloud for storage but it stopped synchronizing correctly with windows 10 for me last year. I run a daily backup from my computer to an external hard drive so I have multiple backups, but I currently don't trust iCloud or dropbox for my garageband projects. Curious if anyone could provide any feedback on their experience using dropbox to store garageband projects. Ever had an issue trying to reopen a .pkgf file into garageband?72Views0likes8CommentsLocalwp Dropbox backup connection failed: 500 Server Error
I have been trying to establish backup options for Local from WP Engine with Dropbox. Each time it is unsuccessful (500 Server Error), even though it clearly states all permissions granted when checked under Third Party Apps in Dropbox settings.36Views0likes3CommentsDropbox Integration with Zoom deprecated.
I discovered after the fact that Dropbox has decided to end its integration with Zoom. Apparently this ended on 5th February 2024. My last Zoom meeting 8 February 2024 did not upload to Dropbox automatically as usual which led me to investigate with both Zoom and Dropbox. I was just informed of the decision on Dropbox Chat. Apparently, I was supposed to have received an email but I can't find one and don't delete such things. I was advised to report the issue/complaint here. The solution offered was download and Re-upload to Dropbox which I know will work (because I used to do that years ago) but when I have multiple Zoom Sessions in one Day and there isn't time between meetings to do this this is a lot of extra work for something that prior to this change was automatic. I wonder how many others are affected by this and are just as mystified as I am? I may have to consider other options to Dropbox though need to investigate these. Thanks. Update 15th February 2024: Given the growing interest in this post and issues it is causing I have now put forward it's reinstatement here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-ideas/Please-reinstate-integration-with-Zoom/idi-p/751519#M82875 Note: Rich a Super User II advise only one post and for others to LIKE and support it and comment otherwise it won't work. @Mark, @bblu2095, @BHappy, @Chriskynka, @marosner, @yw40, @Rockeye , @MovingMary , @nsrubio you have all been tagged in the 'NEW IDEA post link above so hopefully you will see this or the NEW IDEA post or both.
