I am trying to download a combination of files and each time I try to download it, it shows as "stopped" no matter what I do. I saw that this is an issue from the community with DB and I am not sure how to fix it. The file size is approximately 100GB. I hope that someone from support can help me. I do not believe it is on my end, like a network/internet issue as I have a business account with Comcast and my download speeds are adequate for this type of task. I've tried to use Brave, FF, Chrome and Safari. Each time, it either shows that the download as "stopped" or I am able to download the file but it is empty, or at 0. So what's the magic trick you need to do to download documents from DropBox? Thanks in advance for your help. ErinGetting an error every time I try to download a file from the web using Brave.
I'm getting an error every time i attempt to download a file from the web on brave browser. (i've turned off brave privacy stuff and adblocker) These errors pop up every time you hit any of the download buttons.71Views0likes10CommentsCorrupted MP4 files when downloading via Dropbox links on MacOS.
Hello, I’ve been facing a persistent and frustrating issue when downloading single files via Dropbox links. Here’s the problem: Whenever I download a single file, it always ends up corrupted. I can’t open the file with QuickTime or VLC, and I can’t even import it into Premiere Pro for editing. The file downloads completely without any errors, but once downloaded, it’s unusable. As a workaround, I’ve found that downloading the entire folder as a .ZIP file prevents corruption. However, this is not practical for me—I often only need to download a single file from the folder, and I want it to work without issues. Sent images below of the problems. Some additional details: I use Dropbox exclusively through a web browser (not the app). I don’t have any paid subscription. I primarily use Dropbox because my clients share videos with me through this platform. Aside from the corruption issue, I’ve also noticed that Dropbox download speeds are incredibly slow for me, which makes the situation even more frustrating. And NO, i dont want to use the Dropbox APP. But if its the only way yo get it to fix, i can try it. I really need to understand why these single-file downloads are always corrupted and find a solution to this problem. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.78Views0likes6CommentsMy photos are not importing to Dropbox in order. There is no way to sort them by date created.
I am not storing photos on my computer so I'm only using your website to upload photos from my phone. I imported over 6000 photos last night and they are completely random, no order whatsoever! I want to see them in order of date created, oldest first.83Views1like9CommentsCan't download my files - missing the "..." (ellipsis) button
I have an old Dropbox account. I got email that my storage was over the limit and I need to upgrade my account. When I login to the account I see a banner that says: Review asap: Your Dropbox is full and has stopped syncing. Upgrade for up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space. My account is 3gb and I have about 9gb of files. I want to download and delete all the files and maybe move them to a free Google Drive. I see no ... menu. No option to bulk download. I can select one file at a time and there is a download option but there is no option to download everything or ever a folder. I googled and saw there should be a ... menu on top. There is none. Only a button to upgrade where the ... should be. Please help.19Views0likes1CommentRemove "Login/SignUp" Dialog box from shared link download
Currently, when I send a client a link to download a file using the Dropbox share file functionality, they are directed to a preview page. When they click the Download button, they are presented with a dialog box prompting them to sign in or sign up for Dropbox. At the bottom of this dialog box, in text that more closely resembles a legal disclaimer, they are given the option to download without signing up. As a paid user, I cannot entertain this dark UI feature. If I need to provide clients with an instruction manual on how to work around a dark UI feature, then it makes me look really cheap and really hacky. Not only does it make me look bad, but it's also a really nasty look for the Dropbox brand.82Views3likes5CommentsBackups do not display on website.
I cannot display my backups on the website. The URL that is not working: https://www.dropbox.com/backup/all?_tk=web_left_nav_bar See screenshot below. That is what I see at the above URL. Here's what I have tried: Three browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge. This fails on all three. Signed out and signed back in. Cleared cache and cookies for all *.dropbox.com Tried at different times of the day (this has not been working for about 12 hours) Note: Choosing "View backed up files" from the desktop app works fine to display the files from a backup. I just cannot list the backups and display the files on the website.1.2KViews0likes8Commentsold shared link gives "That didn't work for some reason" error
I'm trying to access some files using public sharing links i've created long time ago. All these links gives the same error message with the sad dog picture "That didn't work for some reason". I've cleared my cache, I've tried other computers, other web browsers : SAME ERROR. There is an existing thread in the forum for this, but "replies have been turned off for this discussion". The solutions proposed by dropbox staff are all similar and useless. It seems that dropbox made a change to their code that made all this old links not valid. if this is true : WHAT A SHAME FOR A FILE SHARING AND BACKUP SERVICE. if this is wrong, could you please give me a working solution without having to regenerate all the links ? hoping i'm wrong, thank you in advance, and happy new year16Views0likes1Comment
