Filter Option: Add Filter Type For Content with Comment
When I'm collaborating with my clients, I usually have them comment on photos/videos, this way I can see what my clients think about the product. I would love to see Dropbox include an integration where we can filter the folder to show which content in a folder has a comment in it. Unless there is another way of doing this, please drop a comment; otherwise, I would love to see this feature.
Edit Markdown files (.MD) in a web browser
Hi, Right now you can edit Markdown (.md) files from Android devices, but you can't edit them online (via a browser). Please add this feature. I'd be happy if you treated just like a .txt file with no extra formatting. I think this would be a simple task for the dev team.
Ability to adjust location of action buttons when commenting
When a user clicks on a comment, the action button overlay appears, which hides the comment below it. Users gets annoyed with this. I suggest adjusting the action buttons in the Header section of the comment. Thank you for consideration from a UI/UX and Motion Designer
Give us the ability to create .txt files on the Dropbox website.
Simple editor for TXT files. I can only read TXT files (web and mobile app), but I would like to make new TXT fle directly on web or mobile app and edit it there. Yes, we can make DOCX or XLSX files there, but TXT file has a lot of advantages. For example: - No text formatting - No paging - No checking and repairing text - Multiplatform - No automatic break text into lines - May contain unchanged parts of codes and commands - The master of the format and content of the text is the one who writes it
Option for Clients to "star" or "favorite" Images
The option for Clients to "star" or "favorite" Images in a shared folder would be insanely useful. It's surprising this still hasn't been added yet as a feature. Especially given the introduction of Replay for video feedback, and the fact that commenting already exists for photos and stars exist for internal favorites—all we need is the option for external clients to also "star" photos the way they can comment on photos. Currently, we have to use third-party programs to share photo proofs with clients just so they can select the images they want to purchase. Comments alone are too cumbersome when there's hundreds of images to go through. One tiny addition of a star would make Dropbox for photos unbeatable!
Allow us to show/hide sidebar items on the website
I love new features, don't get me wrong, but not at the cost of them cluttering up the UI with features I rarely (or never) use. The sidebar on the web keeps growing with no way to tame it. How about implementing a Gmail-style menu system where you can bury menu items you don't want to see, but can still access if need-be... this way the UI can be more tuned to how an individual uses it?Show a warning/alert if the limit on moving files on the website is exceeded
I had some issues trying to move several folders and files from one folder to another on Dropbox web, I was moving around 200+ folders with files and folders inside and it failed when moving them to another folder at the same time. I opened a ticket for it (#24692326) and also would like to Dropbox team to take a look at it, or if possible to show a warning/alert about the max. files/folders that can be moved at the same time on the web app. Thanks in advance
