Yesterday I uploaded a movie file to Dropbox for some friends to download. Immediately after, I decided to check from a browser that wasn't logged in, to see what it would look like for them if they didn't have a Dropbox account. I was shocked to discover, under âActivityâ: âPatricia Johnson downloaded this fileâ and âAnthony Abate viewed this fileâ (neither name recognised by me): So, then I logged in to investigate, but only saw âTraffic and insights: See whoâs visiting... Upgrade to Dropbox Professional to start tracking.â: Surely this isnât a scare tactic to get me to upgrade to a paid account, is it??Solved33KViews1like12CommentsScanned Document as PDF just does not upload on Android App (Samsung smartphone)
Dropbox Pro user here. I am camera-scanning a document with my phone and trying to upload it as a PDF to my Dropbox folder. The upload progresses really quickly all the way until 100% (no network issues here, using Wi-Fi), but it gets stuck "Sending..." at 100% and just never finishes the upload. I confirm that I can upload regular files (including PDFs) from my phone to Dropbox, and I can scan into JPG files and upload them. It's only the PDF scanning option that isn't working, as far as I can tell. I suspect that the cause is the OCR post-processing... Things I've tried (none of them worked): - Killing the app - Clearing the app cache - Using Data connection instead of Wi-Fi - Restarting the phone - Updating the App: it is already at its latest version Phone Model: Samsung A54 Android App Version: 352.2.2 Has anyone else had the same issue or is this specific to me? Would really appreciate some help to solve this.Solved13KViews0likes8CommentsManaging your Dropbox subscription

Hi there! I've have a free dropbox personal account for 15 years, and at some point added a free Teams account. Several years ago I upgraded the Teams account to a Professional account. ----- Today I got this message, and all my Professional files were taken off my machines (they're still on dropbox of course) Business Dropbox Removed: Your business Dropbox account was removed from this computer because your accounts were unlinked. Your files have not been deleted. ------ I would love to be able to link my two accounts, and continue having two separate dropbox home folders on my machine. Basically, I am leaving the country tomorrow morning and will have extremely limited internet access. I just need it to work how it used to, but I accept that I may need an alternate setup based on whatever Dropbox has changed. When I am signed into my Personal (free) account, it says I have 3TB of space, and the same for the Professional account. Within the settings menu the Pro account is called Personal Account, but when I check the billing plan for the Pro account, it calls it Dropbox Professional. Any solutions? Many Thanks! (too bad this is my only option for customer support đSolved10KViews5likes27CommentsHow do YOU access Dropbox?
Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.7KViews6likes11CommentsRecovering deleted files (older than 30 days)
I have a Dropbox Basic plan - and to date, I've only been on that plan. I deleted files more than 30 days ago (but less than 180 days ago), which means they aren't available for me to recover. With the Dropbox Professional plan (and similar plans), I'm able to recover files that were deleted up to 180 days ago. Does that mean that if I now upgraded to one of those plans, I would be able to recover those files I deleted between 30 and 180 days ago? Or would I have had to already been on one of those plans before I deleted the files, in order to be able to now recover them?Solved9.3KViews1like18CommentsWhat is going on with Dropbox on MacOS? Spotlight and Finder don't work!!
Dropbox randomly updated to some new version and said everything is moving to Library/CloudStorage or something like that, now I can't open files directly in Spotlight OR find using folder search in Finder (although global search "This Mac" works). Biggest issues: 1. Searching using spotlight and clicking on it DOES NOTHING! 2. If I am in a folder within Dropbox folder on my Mac, and I want to search for a file IN that folder using Finder, it doesn't find any file if I search using the search box in Finder, I have to click "This Mac" to find files but it finds files from EVERYWHERE when I only want to find files from within that specific Dropbox folder that I am currently in How do I fix this? I need this functionality working ASAP ! Moderated edited to remove swearingSolved9.2KViews9likes34Comments
