How do YOU access Dropbox?
Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?
6 Must needed Dropbox Replay Suggestions from a Video Editor/Manager
Hi there, we've moved over from frame.io and are really enjoying how fast it is to check content using replay, I would like to suggest a few improvements. 1. Have the whole video area as a big play/pause button rather than the audio draw function, this makes it easier when switching from commenting to playing the content. Suggesting to make it how youtube works, and frame.io. If you want to draw, which for us is quite rare and the feedback is normally written, then you click on the draw button and then the video becomes something you can draw on. 2. BUG, when you edit a comment, the cursor auto switches to the beginning of the text - please change this so it's at the end. 3. When commenting, please make it so when you press 'Enter' it sends the comment and if you want a new line then you press shift+enter, how you usually would on a instant messenger. And give a tickbox option to change for those users who prefer the other way. 4. Email notifications - please allow somewhere where we can turn these emails off. 5. Desktop notifications - it's a generic notification that comes in that says 'Stuff they said...', change this so that 1. those notifications can be controlled and also what is written comes up as an actual notification and not something generic 6. Feature request - on frame io you could export the file as an xml and import it into final cut pro x, please bring in this functionality. Thank you, Preetcharan Singh
Dropbox Replay for designated users
Hi there, I would only use DBx Replay for 4 of my team, but I am only able to get it for the whole team. And it's very expensive. So rather her than Dropbox getting $1500, I will give my money to something like Frame.io where I can choose the number of users and it will cost me $500. So you can see DBx is losing money. If you can change this setup, I will go back to DBx but if not, I will have to go elsewhere.
Attaching files and scaling in Dropbox Replay
Good afternoon Thank you for your service, I would like it to be even better and faster to use. I have several suggestions. 1. What's sorely missing from Dropbox Replay is the ability to attach files to comments. Sometimes we just need to upload/attach a reference that will make the comment more understandable. 2. I would like to be able to scale the timeline of a video in Dropbox Replay. There are a lot of comments during the video. And in order to carry out more detailed work on errors, you need to be able to stretch/enlarge the timeline in order to work accurately and in detail. This would be a cool implementation.
