Onthe last few startups of my Windows 7 desktop, the EventViewer has shown the following error and subsequent information logs as the error is corrected by Windows: Record Number: X 95916 Log Type: Application Event Type: Error Source: DbxSvc Category: 3 Event ID: 320 Failed to connect to the driver: (-2147024894) The system cannot find the file specified. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Record Number: 95931 Log Type: Application Event Type: Information Source: ESENT Category: 3 Event ID: 300 Windows (2500) Windows: The database engine is initiating recovery steps. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Record Number: 95932 Log Type: Application Event Type: Information Source: ESENT Category: 3 Event ID: 301 Windows (2500) Windows: The database engine has begun replaying logfile C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\MSS.log. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Record Number: 95933 Log Type: Application Event Type: Information Source: ESENT Category: 3 Event ID: 302 Windows (2500) Windows: The database engine has successfully completed recovery steps. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Record Number: i 95915 Log Type: Application Event Type: Information Source: DbxSvc Category: 2 Event ID: 258 Pipe server thread started. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems as if the Dropbox service may be trying to start too soon as, after the initial error, Windows seems to be able to correct the problem and everything works correctly. This is a very recent happening and I cannot relate the change to any system changes. Is there anything I can do to stop the error - if I didn't regularly check the Event Viewer I would be none the wiser so perhaps I'm being too sensitive. Thanks.Solved76KViews0likes254CommentsHow do YOU access Dropbox?
Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.7KViews6likes11Comments6 Must needed Dropbox Replay Suggestions from a Video Editor/Manager
Hi there, we've moved over from frame.io and are really enjoying how fast it is to check content using replay, I would like to suggest a few improvements. 1. Have the whole video area as a big play/pause button rather than the audio draw function, this makes it easier when switching from commenting to playing the content. Suggesting to make it how youtube works, and frame.io. If you want to draw, which for us is quite rare and the feedback is normally written, then you click on the draw button and then the video becomes something you can draw on. 2. BUG, when you edit a comment, the cursor auto switches to the beginning of the text - please change this so it's at the end. 3. When commenting, please make it so when you press 'Enter' it sends the comment and if you want a new line then you press shift+enter, how you usually would on a instant messenger. And give a tickbox option to change for those users who prefer the other way. 4. Email notifications - please allow somewhere where we can turn these emails off. 5. Desktop notifications - it's a generic notification that comes in that says 'Stuff they said...', change this so that 1. those notifications can be controlled and also what is written comes up as an actual notification and not something generic 6. Feature request - on frame io you could export the file as an xml and import it into final cut pro x, please bring in this functionality. Thank you, Preetcharan Singh5.5KViews4likes6CommentsCan I auto-import videos in a certain Dropbox folder to Replay?
Hi Emma! (It won't let me start a new discussion so here I am) Is there or will there be a feature that could auto-import videos in a certain Dropbox folder to Replay? My team and I export our videos directly into our Dropbox and having a feature like this could streamline our review process.Solved3.9KViews4likes5CommentsReplay should be part of any professional monthly package
It seems petty to start charging Replay as an 'Add on' at prices that I think are uncompetitive when considering the competition like Frame.io and Vimeo for client review - particularly for Dropbox Professional users. This stops Dropbox being a 'one stop shop' in terms of collaboration, file sharing, video sharing and client review. I suggest upper tiers of Dropbox monthly subscriptions get Replay as part of the package.Solved3.2KViews5likes9CommentsDropbox Spaces for Solo-workers (Premium members)
I would welcome if you would open Dropbox Spaces also for solo-workers. I am a freelancer and I work on many different projects every month. It would simplify my workflow if I could keep track about the projects (calendar, to-do list...) as Dropbox is my main collaboration tool - I use it for reviewing (Dropbox Replay), sending files, capturing my screen (Dropbox Capture) and delivering the final project.Solved3KViews1like3Comments
