Hello .. Suddenly i cant open my files from dropbox, it worked as usual yesterday, but after a couple of hours i couldnt open any file at all so i can edit in word. A new window popped up and said something about " docx stores on a serverlocation that does not support". After a couple of hours trying to fix this with uninstalling word, dropbox, microsoft office etc, I managed to get files to open through Word app only when i didnt had microsoft office installed on my Ipad. But at soon as i install microsoft 365 (office) again, it doesnt work. The error screen pops up again. Usually when im able to open to edit word files it opens up through " onedrive" then word through office i believe. The problem i have now is that i still need it to work as it did before with 365 program installed. I have reached out to microsoft but they told me to ask here.. Again, this happens only with my Ipad and Iphone, not on my computer that runs windows.. Anyone who knows how to fix this? Thank youSolved86Views0likes6CommentsCan we upload live photos through Camera Uploads?
I can see lots of posts asking for support for Live Photos. I feel quite cheated that I have lost the ability to see these photos. As someone else has also posted, I have little snippets of my mother’s voice and movement that I have lost forever and she has passed away. Dropbox offer a photo sync service which means they need to solve for Live Photos, they have been around since 2015 so it’s not a new function. Please prioritise a solution to upload and then restore Live Photos.683Views2likes5CommentsScreenshots that are .png on my phone are not in camera uploads?
Hello, I saved a screenshot that is a png but it isn't showing up in my Dropbox? It's a document that needs to be saved on that date, but it isn't there on Dropbox, even though it is in my phone Gallery on that date. Can you help? Thank you37Views0likes5CommentsHow can I upload photos of my phone?
Storage on my phone is full. I want to save all my photos (10,000 or so) to dropbox and then delete them off my phone. Normally when I open the dropbox app on my phone, it automatically uploads my photos. I can see them on the app on my phone. I can see them on my dropbox web app. I have no idea what is happening with the photos in the 'camera uploads folder on my dropbox desktop app (it just seems to be uploading but never ends and the photos are all over the place. What can i do to free up phone storage and not lose my photos? Today my dropbox phone app wont upload any photos - it is saying 'your device storage is full, please delete some files and restart dropbox'. The answer to question 1 might help but if anyone has any tips on how to get the photos off my phone and permanently saved to dropbox it will be appreciated. Please automatically upload videos from camera roll to Dropbox. Videos can be more precious than photos to users and this feature being optional with no prompt or notification to warn as such can cause great distress if missed. Most other platforms have this done automatically so users do not think to double check this presumably given feature. If you insist on this feature remaining please at least incorporate more notifications/banners to clearly show the user that it is off as a warning.Solved44Views0likes3CommentsHave camera uploads not change the original filenames and delete files when removed from phone.
I'd suggest to develop a better system for saving camera uploads in the cloud. Currently, the system only uploads pictures from your phone as they are, changing the name as an uploaded file. It would be better if it leaves the original names of the files in your devices. Additionally, it would be better to have it working as a security copy, in such a way that if a delete a picture from my device, it is also erased in my security copy or back up in Dropbox. Because currently my Dropbox uploads is getting extremely full with useless pictures from WhatsApp chats. So if I delete them from my phone I also have to delete them from the file in Dropbox, making it double work.17Views0likes1CommentiPhone 15 pro can't focus close up documents when using the scan utility.
Since purchased the new iPhone 15 pro, it seems that the iOS Dropbox app can't automatically switch to the macro lens (the ultra wide lens), so it can't focus small documents (like tickets or barcodes). This same error occurs in other third party apps. Apple says is the "developer fault" because they are making the wrong call to the camera function, and so it only uses the main camera, that in the 14 and 15 pro models can't close focus.Solved5.4KViews1like10CommentsA large scanned PDF did not upload and is missing, can I find it in the iOS mobile app?
Hi, tldr; scanned document didn‘t finish the upload without showing errors or any trace of the file; how to recover the data? Last days I had to scan a lot of documents and though there was a weak connection everything went fine initially. A couple of the uploads were stuck, some waiting, some with errors. All of them finished when I took a break in a wifi hotspot and all those files are safe on the server. The last document had many pages (>50), so I didn‘t wonder when the sandbox showed for a longer time. As everything went fine before, I changed the app and worked on something else. When I switched back to Dropbox App minutes later, there was no sign of any upload running, nothing in the queue, no errors. And no trace of my big file anywhere. In the meantime I also checked the events, but no surprise, the server didn‘t catch this one. Question: Is there any chance to recover the pages of the scan and redo the upload? I have spent a long time to adjust dozens of corners and the original documents are not so easy to access again. The file must have been generated somewhere locally on my device, so can I retrieve that with some ios tools? I didn‘t close the app nor did I restart the device, so I have still some hope. I use browsers and the apps on iPad and iPhone. The scan was taken with the DropBox App 404.2.2 on iPhone 13 running IOS 18.1.1 with plenty of memory space left on iPhone and Dropbox server.Solved34Views0likes3CommentsHow to reset my camera uploads, I tried everything
Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7.1KViews1like85Comments
