The company I work for uses Dropbox. There is a shared folder with several members. I’m trying to save the folder’s files for offline access on my tablet. At first this worked normally, and whenever I connected to Wi‑Fi they would sync immediately. However, for the past few days I’ve been encountering the following problem: a yellow triangle appears on the right side, and the app shows a notification saying “Failed to download offline files. Check your connection,” even though I am properly connected to the Internet. Then, as soon as I refresh, the files disappear and the folder shows up either empty or with only some of the files—which, oddly enough, do download successfully. The strange thing is that this only happens with certain files, which of course worked fine before. I should also mention that the problem is temporarily solved if I completely uninstall the app and set everything up again, but it reappears after a few days. I’ve searched all the forums and haven’t found an answer… Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.94Views0likes8CommentsCan't view a list of folders in the mobile app on Android.
It is extremely frustrating to not be able to view the list of all folders in the mobile (android) app. I usually end up logging in on my browser just so I can find what I want. I know where to look, but I cannot remember all of the folders names. That's ridiculous to think I could!Solved46Views0likes6CommentsTitle shortcuts the Paper mobile phone app
Title shortcuts the Paper mobile phone app as in the webb applciation. This would allow for swiftly taping in information under a certain title on the go for later review. The shortcut list to titles would as deafult be hidden so it dosent take up space while writing/ reviewing the document. // PhilArch30Views0likes2CommentsApps in my iPhone say my Dropbox is empty when I try to attach files
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!187Views0likes17CommentsHow to move many photos from the Dropbox mobile app to Google Photos on an iPad?
I am collecting photos from many parents for a team banquet…now i have hundreds of photos uploaded from various people that i need to move to Google Photos or something similar to create a video montage. I cannot export the photos unless I select them one by one (UGH)…is there another option to move them all to google in bulk? Or to another app to make a simple video montage??? Thank you.28Views0likes3CommentsWe don't see creation/modification dates for our folders.
Explanation: Why dont we see dates on Folders, this is kinda destroys propper workflow. When i compare files, i need to make sure im using last ones. We can compare this properly offlone. The folder dont show any meta data for modified or created. This issue is visible when online as well in mobile app. Perhaps it's another limitation off free plan? I am trying to share some folders with photos with a number of non-dropbox users. But there seems to be a problem with download. I have set a link for viewing as follows: Anyone with the link can access. Expiration date: 1 day. Required password: On. Disable download: Off. I shared the link with a user for testing. The URL appears to be working. The password is requested. Upon entering the password the user gets access to the folder and can see the pictures in the subfolders. However, when the user taps download on the screen on the phone, nothing happens. When trying to dowload the entire folder, a message telling the user that download will begin shortly appears, but nothing happens. I tested the URL on in Chrome in incognitive mode on an Android and confirmed that download works as expected. What am I doing wrong here?43Views0likes3CommentsI can preview offline files on my Android device, but I can't open them with Microsoft.
Hello, I was on holiday and wanted to open a file I had successfully synced to be offline. However, when I tried to open the off-line file I received a message: "you can view this file offline, but you'll need an internet connection to edit it. Check your connection and try again OK" However, it doesn't even let me 'view' the file. Android v10 Galaxy Note9 App version: 414.2.2 I saw this discussion/Thread - but it didn't seem to have a resolution: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001012/offline-mode-not-working-on-android/756275 and the thread is closed - so I can't add my comments there.
