50 TopicsDoes Dropbox support 5 Gbps sync (uploads and dowload) speeds?
I am a professor a University of Florida (UF). We have a business Dropbox account through UF (I cannot use this community with that account for some reasons, so I am writing from my private one). I work often from home. All my data and my students' data (Many GBs and TBs) is constantly synced with Dropbox. Fiber was just installed in my neighborhood, and I am debating between 1Gbps and 5Gbps speed. The latter is 50% more expensive, but I would pay for it if Dropbox is able to handle Gbps uploads and dowload speeds. If not, there is not really much of a point, 1 Gbps is more than enough for all the other things I do. Thank you Best A16Views0likes1Comment"Folder has too many files to download" error
Hi, I recently upgraded Dropbox to 2tb bc iCloud is full and too expensive. Anyway I just want my pics. I have them sorted into folders I made. I don’t need the folders, just the original images. I am receiving this error message “Folder has too many files to download.” How do I deal with this? Thanks for any help.24Views0likes2CommentsMy Camera Uploads lacks content, but I can see all of my content in the "Photos" tab.
My "Camera Uploads" folder only has photos going back one month, plus one short video from last June. However, all the photos from my phone going back years, including the ones taken in the past month, are in the "Photos" tab. This seems odd. Is this how it's supposed to work? And why is the only older file in "Camera Uploads" a single video from June? Thanks!77Views0likes11CommentsOur large PDF file has been separated into individual files after uploading to Dropbox via app.
Hi, I was recently asked to upload a large file set from our local storage to dropbox. We basically dragged and dropped into the dropbox app... however now that we are looking at the data, it has separated our multi page PDF files into a new PDF file, one for each page!!! Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to reverse this or at the very least keep it from happening again? Thanks!367Views0likes6CommentsPhotos tab previewing comments, and wishes to locate files using geolocation.
OneDrive has a feature where it syncs photos across Galaxy devices - so a photo taken on my phone, can be viewed in the Gallery app on my tablet - as well as on my computer or online. I currently have Dropbox Plus to backup all my photos, but the photo viewing experience in the Dropbox app is terrible - no searching by location (on a map), slow and painful due to no cached thumbnails, etc. I really prefer giving my money to an independent company like Dropbox, but double handling my photos is becoming a real pain (if I delete a photo from dropbox, I have to separately delete it from Gallery as well). Please don't make my swap my data storage needs to Microsoft!858Views0likes6CommentsWhy is Dropbox Browser so slow?
I use the browser version of Dropbox exclusively, and am baffled as to why the speeds are so painfully slow. We have gigabit internet at our studio, and while very other browser-based activity, download or upload can utilise the full bandwidth (commonly seeing 80MBp/s down and upload - on wetransfer for example). Dropbox, however, will typically never go beyond 6MBp/s either way. And opening new browser windows for each file upload is tedious. We're paying for a business service here, and I dont see why the featurset of the browser version should be so neutered. If there's some sort of setting that's been overlooked I'd love to know. I am new to Dropbox. I started adding some files and when I clicked on a couple of the files it said "Can't load this file type. This file type is unsupported here." I tried with two different files. They are not typical files as they are from a design software and gcode. Is there a way to save these files in Dropbox and be able to access them? I also need to access them on multiple devices. Is this possible? Reading the features I thought this would work but I didn't know you wouldn't be able to open certain file types. Is there a way to set it up to open the file directly in the program I need to use it in? I am currently using the free plan. Not sure if that makes a difference. Thank you.Solved5.8KViews0likes4Comments
