Hi - I'm hoping someone can help me. We've been using dropbox for a while and it's been going swimmingly, but in the recent few months there has been a change. When I open an excel document it used to open in 'Excel for the web' and was easily editable, but recently it's stopped loading properly. I'm trying to open it using Safari browser (my friend who is using Microsoft software isn't having the same issue), and now instead of the file loading it looks like this, but never loads: Can anyone help? I've restarted my computer and installed any updates. Many thanks.32Views0likes5CommentsThe first line when viewing comments gets blocked by tools.
When someone leaves comments and I select it to read the whole thing, a box with the emoji, resolve and other options appears, blocking the last few words in the first line of the comment. Is there a way to turn off that function? It's super annoying to have to deselect the comment to read the first line, then select again to see the rest.35Views0likes3CommentsSearch doesn't work both from the desktop app and on the website
I'm trying to show all files with the .kbdx file extension. First I tried the search built into the Dropbox system tray presence, but it returned no results. Then I logged in through the website and searched again, and still no results. Panic really start to set in, because that's my keepass password manager file extension. If I manually go to a directory where I know one is, it's there. Why isn't search working, and how do I turn it back on?19Views0likes1CommentCan I get the actual creation date of the file, and not just the upload date?
I am not understanding how I can find out details on when a file was created. For example I have uploaded 714 PDF files today to a Folder PDF_11_10. When I look at the folder ALL the files show a modified date of today. Is there a way to get the actual creation date of each file and NOT just upload date. I have followed the instructions for 'file info' on Metadata but no luck. I would appreciate any solutions. Running on WIN11 with Dropbox PRO. I have received some comments from a consultant on a pdf set of plans from a consultant. When I go to click on the comment to read it, the three dots for options, the tick to mark the thread as resolved and the emoji reaction all obscure the right hand side of the text so the comment can not be read. I would suggest moving these three options up so that each comment can be read in full. Current hack is to click on the comment to get the gist of it and then go back out to find it so you can read it in full.79Views2likes7CommentsGetting a white screen when logging in on the website
Hello, I'm getting a white screen when logging in and when trying to open dropbox links in Chrome. I have cleared cache and cookies, and don't have any extensions that be causing this. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.243Views0likes2CommentsI'm trying to download large folders from the web, but not all of them are downloaded.
I have a large folder full of (other smaller folders filled with) videos files that I am trying to download and store on an external harrd drive to have a backup of these videos. In total, it comes to ~7 Tb. I have tried downloading each of the smaller folders one at a time but this often results in not all of the videos files downloading. Does anyone know of a better way to do this? Thank you in advance!14Views0likes1CommentNow play multi-audio track videos directly on Dropbox.com!
Hello Dropbox Community, I wanted to share a quick update that you can now play multi-audio tracks on dropbox.com videos! If your video files has multiple audio tracks attached, you can now switch between the various tracks through the settings icon and under multi-audio track. Say goodbye to the old days of switching to another video player to play your files with multiple languages attached to it! Let us know what you think of the new feature in the comments below and/or any other video-related enhancements you’d love to see when previewing a video on Dropbox. Thank you, Derrick Yee4.6KViews4likes9Comments
