Dropbox Microsoft Office Online not working: Clicking "Open in Word for Web" results in preview
I'm having trouble getting Microsoft Office Online to load properly. When I open a *.docx document as the preview and choose "Open with Word for Web" my browser opens a new tab and the loads the same *.docx file in the preview mode. If I go to the same dropdown and click "Open with Word for Web", it opens yet another tab that also ends up being the same preview folder. The Word for Web loads properly if I use the DropBox browser interface to create a new document. However when I close it, I am back to the original situation where if I try to open it with Word for Web it only loads a new tab in the preview view. Can somebody help me get this working again? This situation started suddenly and is new to me.
Excel for the web is no longer able to load files.
Hello, My friend and I share multiple excel files that we use regularly. So far that worked like a charm! We've done so for years and we never really had any problems. But since this week, the larger files won't open anymore. Even files that we don't update anymore and always opened in Excel for the web, won't open anymore. Has anything changed? I've tried different browsers, clearing the browser cache, but it isn't working. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance!
Dropbox Paper docs appear on the mobile app, but not my web account.
I’ve been using Dropbox and Paper for over 8years now. Everything was working well until this morning. Now the files that are on my paper app on my phone are nowhere to be found on my paper account online. I use Dropbox for my writing career and have the biggest show in years coming up Sunday. I have had a ticket open since 10am and have received no correspondence. I can see all my docs in the paper app just fine, and I can search for them on Dropbox but if I don’t remember the title, it doesn’t allow me to view them. I have over 200 paper files, and I have noticed that if I copy them all one by one and paste them into this new interface then I may have a shot I self restoring. This is terrible and my show is less than 48 hours. Can someone please help me!!!
Issue with accessing templates in Dropbox Sign
While using Dropbox Signatures to prepare a template form for a client to sign this morning, I suddenly became unable to access my templates with the following error message displayed: "Couldn’t retrieve templates. Reload the page to try again." Why did this happen? Is there a way around it? Is it just some of kind of coding glitch, or is this a plan-related limitation that will require me to upgrade? Note that I have only sent out a form to sign once over the past few months.
Random files suddenly locked by themselves when using Excel.
I have a domain environment devices with dropbox on them, we are collaborating on excel sheets using online excel. We have only the basic free plan of Dropbox So as i know the feature of locking files for editing is not available. But suddenly this error started to show however we all have editing permission. And offline side of Dropbox the locked files now have a lock sign on the excel icon's side. The online error says : "Someone else is editing this workbook. You will be able to make edits after they have closed the workbook " Have anyone faced this before? ThanksDropbox Passwords app does not send notifications to allow new device
Trying to log into my Dropbox passwords app….will not send notification to any device or computer to allow log in. Something glitched in their system the other day. Logged me out of all my account. I now cannot log back in. I can log into Dropbox, but not Dropbox passwords. Notifications to allow access to Dropbox passwords is not working. No way to log back into my passwords account. Won’t allow me to log into Dropbox passwords via desktop either….so frustrating!!
Add a sync button to the Dropbox Passwords app
Hi I'm using the app on Android and very pleased so far Today I needed a password that I had added on my desktop, but it was not available in the app. There is no button to start a sync, or swipe to refresh. My suggestion is to add this functionality. Sincerely
