Hi Dropbox team Keep having the above message when I share a folder. I have tried to share the folder with different people or share a different folder with different people and share folders in the Incognito window, but I keep getting the same message. Please let me know what to do.37Views0likes6CommentsIssue with resizing text/signature boxes on the Signatures page
Is anyone else having issues resizing boxes on a document that you are trying to send for signature? I can move the boxes around the document but can no longer resize them to fit in a particular area. I tried two different browsers, etc... Its like the ability to resize just disappeared.Solved111Views1like16CommentsThe Photos page on the website is very slow, why?
Hi everyone, My name is Benoit, and I have been a Dropbox user since 2016. For me, my entire life is in Dropbox, and it is very important for me to have access to your solution. However, I have a small issue when trying to view my photos on the website (https://www.dropbox.com/photos). It is very difficult to find a specific photo, and the page loads very slowly! For example, when I try to find a picture from year, the page takes a long time to load. I set the filter to the year 2022, and it takes 4 to 5 minutes to display all the photos from that year! I tried in different browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Brave, but it's the same issue. Also, I tried in Linux Mint, Windows (10 and 11) and I've the same problem. My wife uses a different solution, like Google Photos(🤮), and when she wants to find a photo, it is not as slow as Dropbox and she can search for a photo by name. Why don’t you have this filter in Dropbox? Best regards, Benoit43Views0likes3CommentsNaming conventions are sometimes buggy in subfolders.
I have a parent folder with an automation that's supposed to rename every file in its subfolders to a certain format, but it's been very buggy on if it actually works or not... I don't know if it's just bugged or if there is a solution. I'm using file requests in every child folder if that helps.143Views1like19CommentsDisable "Suggested from your activity" permanently
Hi there, I absolutely hate the feature "Suggested from your activity". I would like to see a checkbox in settings that allows a user to disable that permanently and have the cleanest possible view of file(lists) and folders. The "Suggested from your activity" feature always shows my family photos or, like today, a preview of my tax form. Whenever I open dropbox in the office to browse my files, all my work colleges can see these previews too. The icon that hides it, is only remembering the setting as long as one does not delete cookies from the browser. At our company, it is policy to delete cookies every day at the end of the day. So this "hiding" setting is pretty useless for me. More over, please make it possible to have a clean, minimalistic UI without all the fluff, super big blue buttons and "easy access" helpers. Some people don't need it. It is distracting and disturbing.25KViews75likes34CommentsFilter Option: Add Filter Type For Content with Comment
When I'm collaborating with my clients, I usually have them comment on photos/videos, this way I can see what my clients think about the product. I would love to see Dropbox include an integration where we can filter the folder to show which content in a folder has a comment in it. Unless there is another way of doing this, please drop a comment; otherwise, I would love to see this feature.1.4KViews2likes10CommentsI can't change my Dropbox Sign settings, as the webpage keeps refreshing.
I am having so much trouble finding a way to change the send settings for my Dropbox Sign. Whenever I head to templates and go to the upper right icon and click on settings, the page just reloads and goes right back to the templates home page. Has anyone else experienced this issue?43Views0likes7CommentsPersistent issue: upload speeds are incredibly slow for years
Dropbox upload speeds are incredibly slow. Issue persists for years. Dropbox mods shut down discussions I have seen complaints from many people that Dropbox upload speeds are incredibly slow. Often less than 50 kBps. I have experienced this issue intermittently for years, but over the past 3 months it has become a daily problem. Many temporary fixes have been posted, but I have yet to see any permanent solution. Common to most reports is that this issue doesn't affect other cloud services, so it's clearly a problem with Dropbox and not with people's caches, system preferences, browsers, or ISPs. I can confirm this: when my Dropbox uploads slow to a crawl, my Google Drive upload speeds are 100x faster for same file. I have found that these steps will sometimes resolve the problem but it now recurs after a day or 2: 1. Quit dropbox app 2. plug ethernet cable into laptop 3. turn off laptop wifi 4. Restart modem & router 5. Restart dropbox app This temporary fix seems to last a bit longer: logging out of dropbox, uninstalling and reinstalling dropbox, then logging back in. But this results in a very lengthy re-indexing process, so it's not something I want to be doing on a regular basis. You can see a couple of the past discussions, starting 6 years ago: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001014/ridiculously-slow-upload-speeds/395342 https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001014/upload-app-sync-speed-is-very-slow-on-macos-/801174 Despite being marked "solved" this is an ongoing issue. The OP of the second discussion requested that mods remove the "solved" flag, but they refused and subsequently blocked new comments in the discussion: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001014/upload-app-sync-speed-is-very-slow-on-macos-/801174/replies/824433 Dropbox staff person Hannah has been involved in both these discussions so mods are definitely aware that this is an issue that has persisted for years. What's going on? For many years Dropbox was a great service, but it really seems like they're neglecting their core service. Is the only solution moving to a different cloud storage service?39Views0likes5Comments
