For the last week or two I have been getting an error from Dropbox.
Each time I've tried to uninstall and reinstall and it works, then after shutting off the PC and turning it on again, I get the same error.
What can I do to fix it?
I was told to contact Dropbox Support with the following information:

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
It sounds like you need to do an Advanced installation of the Client. Instructions will be in this Help Center Article:
https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/desktop/advanced-reinstall
Depending on what OS you are using, click on the OS, then it will show instructions.

I just finished doing the advanced reinstall. It took a while to find dropbox folders and dropboxupdate folders during regedit, but when finished that, I reinstalled it and I will keep an eye out for the next few days and then post this as a solution if I don't run into any more problems. Thanks for the post.
