Hi there, @attydave, let's jump right into this!

When did you update your device? Was it recently, or some days ago?

Also, I'd love to check the Dropbox version that you're using there, just to see if it's the latest one.

You should be able to check that, by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon, on your task bar, next to your WiFi.

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

I have been using Dropbox in file explorer in Win 11 for  months. No issues. Then as I logged out Wednesday win 11 did an update. When I started the computer yesterday the issue started. If I click on a pinned folder it opens right away. If I click on a folder or file in the details pane it takes 20-30 seconds to open. dropbox version 194.4.6267

by the way typing excessively is painful for my arthritic hands 😞

and there is no issue on my win 10 computer, so it has been narrowed to dropbox in file explorer on my win 11 computer

Thanks for the added info @attydave!

It might sound trivial, but have you tried restarting your device at all?

Also, if you right click on your Dropbox folder locally, and then check the folder's Properties, how many files do you see there?

If you can send me a screenshot of that, I'd appreciate it.

Many restarts. The issue is when I click on files/folders in the details pane in file explorer. No lag when I click on folders that are pinned in quick access

and keep in mind there is no issue in the same setup on my win 10 computer, so it is some issue between dropbox and win 11 file explorer

Hey @attydave - sorry to jump in here, but could you let us know the version and status of the Dropbox desktop app that's installed on the affected device?

Is it 'up to date' or still syncing? Also, are the files that show this behavior online only or is this happening for files that are available offline on your computer as well?

up to date

all files/folders (online only or already used thus available offline) in file explorer details pane (but not folders in the quick access pane)

lag time is 20-25 seconds to open
