Unable to connect to Dropbox App ver 195.4.4995 on new Mac OS 14.3

Hello,

I have a new MacBook Air running OS 14.3.  I used the migration assistant to move all data over to new machine.  Dropbox would not work.  I deleted the app and cleared the Library folder and am doing an advanced re-install of the desktop app.  I've confirmed which folders to selective sync and am stuck with the spinner on the Welcome to Dropbox screen.  If I hover over the Dropbox icon on the menu bar it says "Waiting to be linked to a Dropbox account ..."  If I click on Upgrade next to this message I'm taken to Dropbox.com where it shows my existing subscription - so it clearly knows my Dropbox account but is not linking properly.

I am using FireVault on this new machine - could that have anything to do with this issue?
How do I proceed from here?
Thank you!

Thanks for your reply.
FireVault is a disk encryption program in Mac OS.
I have solved the problem by completely removing Dropbox from my Mac and doing an advanced installation.
Dropbox is working properly now.

Hi @JulzOz, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you clarify what FireVault is exactly, and why it could interfere with the installation of the app?

This will help me to assist further!
