Apps and Installations

Hello. Anyone who can give me help to fix this will be greatly appreciated.
I installed dropbox. It seems to have taken over my file system.
When I go to save a file in Excel it wants to save it under a dropbox directory.
Worse, I program in a language called R. I use RStudio. I have many libraries (modules) installed but now when I try to run RStudio it says I have to reinstall all these libraries. I have no idea what is going on and why dropbox did this.
I tried to uninstall dropbox but I am still getting the same response from RStudio. It is a disaster. What is going on and how can I fix it.
Thank you!
Walter

Thanks. Why are all my files moved to
C:\Users\willi\Dropbox\PC\Documents
and
C:\Users\willi\Dropbox\PC\Downloads
and
C:\Users\willi\Dropbox\PC\Desktop
and how do I fix this? Why in the world would Dropbox rearrange all my files?
