fileproviderctl crash on Mac OS
I just installed OS 13.6 and Dropbox 183.4.7058
One or both is crashing ever few minutes! Anyone else? Cure?
Sorry for multiple posts---No indication it was posted--keeps asking me for Labels! 😞

That seems to have done it. So you had me revert from Dropbox 183.4.7058 to Dropbox 182.4.6427.

I just want to point out that this is likely due to a critical bug in the final release of macOS 13.6 (22G120) that causes `fileproviderctl` to crash immediately. This is due to some sort of missing code signing signature. Reinstalling Dropbox likely "fixes" it by nature of the bundled extension being re-enabled by default. The underlying bug and issue remains.

I beg to disagree. Reinstalling 183 did not help at all, only installing 182 solved it.
I installed OS 13.6 almost simultaneously, so it could be the problem
In my mind, 183 has a fault.
- I guess then that v 183 uses or enforces the FileProvider API while 182 doesn't. Hard to know because Dropbox doesn't publish release notes as far as I know.
Yes. I have sent numerous requests to Dropbox about this as well. No solid answer. I spoke to Apple support. Their guess is that since I have plenty of room on my hard drive now that there must be something in the update or application. They suggested I ask if it makes sense to delete and REINSTALL. However, I'm anxious about that as I don't want to lose all my file settings, etc. It would, again, be incredibly helpful if there were real time help. I continue to get crash notices from Dropbox every couple of hours. Hate to have to leave you after all these years....
Is this a "special link" or can I use it as well. Seems to me this is an issue not only with me, but others as well.
Did it just allow all your files/set up to remain and you just uninstalled/reinstalled??

As a first step, would you mind clarifying the version of the desktop app, that you use on your end?
What about the app crashing? Do you have a screenshot? Are these crashes similar to what the OP attached above?
It'd also be helpful to know when did they start happening.
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there.
