Excel files not opening (.xlsx files are supported but something went wrong.)

I've been sharing files on dropbox to my colleagues for a number of years and never had an issue.  (they are our staff rosters, excel macro-enabled files).  I've always uploaded them and shared the link to view with everyone.  Recently, I got an error stating the .xlsm files are supported but something went wrong.  I tried deleting the file and re-uploading, didn't work.  I tried saving it as a plain excel workboox without the macros and it still didnt work.  It asks me to download the file to view, which is not what I want.

Can someone tell me why this would be happening.  There are other excel files in the same folder that open just fine?

Thanks!

Hi there @Leahjet - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you please let me know if you're the owner of the files or if they're shared with you via shared links? Also, are you getting this error on the website when trying to access the shared link or the file directly?

If you're using a web browser to open your files, have you tried clearing the browser's cache or using another browser?

Any additional information or screenshots are more than welcome!
