As the Subject states over the years I’ve accumulated over 7 TB of files. These are on various hard drives (SSD, External USB (100 GB to 4 TB).
What I’d like to do is put them on one big drive, perform a duplicate file search and “I don’t want this file anymore”. Then put the “leaned down” data on Dropbox for use on my iPad Pro, iPhone, MacBook Pro, and or my Windows 10 machine.
I am “neurotically paralyzed” on the best way to do this. What would you clear thinking humans do in this case?
thank you Dwight
Hey @Dornay12 , thanks for reaching out to our Community.
So, there are a couple of different ways of using Dropbox to add your data.
First of all, for 7 TB of data you'd need our Dropbox Business Advanced (team) plan, as our largest individual plan is for 3 TB.
We do offer an external drive backup feature, however, it is currently only available for individual plans.
Otherwise, you could just sync these files to your Dropbox account using the Dropbox desktop app.
Let me know if you need any clarifications!

Thank you Hannah for your suggestions.
it seems to me that I should get the “top” plan. Load everything on Dropbox. Then winnow it down to something acceptable.
thanks again
