never completly syncing

never completly syncing

Hi, we store large amounts of files on dropbox (approx 15tb) but recently we cannot sync all of the folders, i have tried many times to uninstall and reinstall but it can never complete the initial syncing, currently it is stuck on 1078 files out of the 4million.

My plan was to remove some about 7tb and store on external hard drives but i dropbox will not finish the file indexing/syncing phase to allow me to do this, i'm stuck and have no idea how to get out of this position, i have tried every sinario i can think of in the last few week, update the app, log out and log back in, only sync 1 folder at a time but still no joy!

Help please!

Hi @ahscanning, thanks for posting on the Community!

If you have over 4 million files to sync from the Dropbox site, then the performance of the Dropbox desktop application could deteriorate.

Could you try using selective sync to reduce the number of files syncing to your computer?

Keep me updated with any progress!

yes i have tried to just select one folder but i still get the same issue with the files never syncing correctly, i am currently downloading 200gb at a time to try and reduce the amount we have stored online which isn't ideal.
