no sync since several days but sync symbol with no error

no sync since several days but sync symbol with no error

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my Dropbox client on my desktop computer. He is constantly "synchronizing". Unfortunately nothing happens. The task manager shows no activity neither on the CPU nor on the hard disk or the network. There are no error messsages.

The files have not been synced to Dropbox for several days now.

There are two Dropbox clients on my network. Both installations run on a windows 10 - version 1903 (all current updates). Unfortunately the desktop client has stopped synchronizing but the laptop continues to work properly. Also, no error message is displayed on the desktop. It cannot be due to the hard disk space, there is enough space available.

What have I tried so far:

- disconnect and reconnect the account
- deinstallation and reinstallation of the client including the extended reinstallation
- Change of folder
- Virus check
- Firewall on / off
- Extra rule in the Fireall for Dropbox and automatic port sharing on the router
- VPN software uninstalled (but was not active anyway)
- Dropbox directory checked for file name errors

I can get to the website without any problems and can also download and upload files there.

I would like to open a ticket but cant see where. There isn't such an option for free user i guess.

Can someone help me

Thanks in advance

Ulf

Moin,

Was habe ich bisher versucht:

Ulf

Hi , thanks for messaging the Community!

Could you confirm the version of the Dropbox desktop application you're running? You can do this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in the system tray or menu bar. It should say something like 104.4.

Could you also try the steps in this thread to see if they help?

Keep me posted!

Hi,

thanks for the reply. The version is 103.4.383.

I've tried the "Fix Hardlinks" . But nothing changed with my problem. 😕

Is there a newer version? I installed this version 2 days ago.

The latest version of the app is 104.4.175, and can be downloaded from here.

Let me know if this helps!

Hello,

I updated to 104.4.175 but nothing changed. I tried also the "fix hardlinks" again with no result.

My problem is not solved yet. Still on the sync sign but nothing happens situation...
