with windows 11 ; no sync

with windows 11 ; no sync

hello

very strange

i have no sync with the wifi at home since i migrated windows 10 in 11.

and strangely; when I connect to my company's VPN, the synchronization goes very well.

one might have expected the contrary.

the worst is that I have no error message. it displays "your files are up to date" when not.

from my phone I have placed a photo in my dropbox. on the PC it never happened. from the moment I put in VPN the photo immediately arrived. however, without VPN, I have internet with the wifi of the house.

cordially and sorry for my english, i'm french

JM

Hey @jim_75, welcome to our Community and happy Monday!

It's strange that the Dropbox application is not syncing and yet, it shows 'up to date'.

Do you perhaps have any antivirus with the new OS update or a new security program?

If so, can you temporarily disable it, to see if that helps?

Have you also tried using a different WiFi connection/network?

Let me know what you find!

Hi! I have a similar problem. I'm on a fresh Windows 11 installation and dropbox is not syncing to my pc.  It only synced a couple super old files, but it's not doing Camera Uploads or any Folders and their contents.

It claims it's up-to-date. Disabling and re-enabling sync doesn't work, and neither does disabling Windows Defender.

I'm on a wired connection.

Hey @neozaki - sorry to hear about this.

Can you please check your selective sync settings through the app's preferences?

Do you see your folders listed there?

Any additional information is more than welcome!

I have the very same or similar problem. on a new windows 11 HP Envy notebook I installed the dropbox app and chose abou 50% of my dropbox folders to sync. The app finishes and tells me that snc is complete, but when I look at the dropbox-folder in explorer it shows:

Size: 358 GB (384 552 336 493 Bytes)

Local Dive: 48,2 GB (51 796 701 184 Bytes)

So ist syncs only part of the files.

The app also shos an error message that Smart Sync is not working, bit does not offer the choice to enable or stop it.
