Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Background: I bought a new desktop computer and installed DropBox. All of the folders with files that were on the old desktop computer now appear in DropBox on the new computer. All my folders contain pictures of our grandson playing baseball and our son, daughter, and my wife have DropBox on their computers so they can view all the baseball pictures.
Issue: I went to delete the folders in DropBox on the old computer and the message said that I would not have access to these folders containing but the other individuals would. That scared me.
So my question: If I delete the folder in Dropbox on the old computer, will they still be available in dropbox on my new computer or will I lose those folders and images? HELP!!!!

Hi @Photo SME, welcome to our Community!
In regards to you deleting content on your old device: do you still use the app there? Is the app still installed, and running?
If so, then yes, the content that you'd delete there, would also get deleted from your account online, and therefore your new device.
The right approach would be for you to sign out of the app there, or uninstall it and then delete the content.
Let me know if you have any questions!
