Dropbox Vault not visible

Now that Dropbox has added Vault to Professional, the only way I can access the Vault is the web interface, the Dropbox app on my iPad, or the Dropbox app on my Android phone. The vault does not show in the Dropbox for MacOS app or in my Dropbox folder in Finder. I even stared it in the web interface and when I look at stared folders in the Dropbox app it doesn't show.

I even went into preferences in the Dropbox app on my MacBook and found that the Vault folder was deselected. I selected it and clicked update. The folder still did not show. I went back into the preferences and it had deselected again. I tried several more times to select the Vault folder so that it would show and it simply will not stay selected.

Hi there soundmanbrett; happy Friday and thanks for your interest in our Vault feature!

The Vault is accessible via the desktop app only to a limited audience at this time as its currently in beta and only available to some Dropbox users; could this be why this is happening?

    Keep me posted!

That is possible. The problem is that I moved many of my sensitive files into the vault and I can't easily access them. Is there a way to get into the beta testing audience so that I can try out the version where I can see the files? Walter

I have the same problem. The vault sometimes shows up in Mac Finder and then not for days at a time.  I also had moved very important files in there that I need to access on my Mac and not only on the iPad or iPhone. How come I was invited to try the feature and then it disappears again?

    Please help.

    Thanks Jens

I was trying to find a solution or help here. I didn't think I could reach out to you since it's a beta product.

I am having the same problem. The only way to access the files is currently by browser at dropbox.com.

How can I easily access them from my phone and desktop app?

    Thanks.

    Diego

Hey there dhcampos; sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you please clarify the OS of your devices and if you're having any specific issues or errors when trying to access your Vault through your mobile and desktop devices?
