Hello, I made a big mistake, I accidentally deleted the Dropbox folder on my computer and the files on the C drive (desktop) were also deleted. Currently, I have tried everything to find the deleted files again, I have tried going to the dropbox website in the deleted file section but to no avail. What should I do now to recover a lot of deleted files, please help

Hi @lunvinkan, thanks for messaging today!

I understand the concern over your missing files.

Was the Dropbox desktop application syncing to the Dropbox site when your deleted the files from your computer?

Do you see any recent events on your account?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi thanks for the reply,
When I delete the "Dropbox" folder on my computer, it only syncs with my C(desktop) drive, and the Dropbox app doesn't.
Then I tried to fix it, including deleting the dropbox account on the website

Hi @lunvinkan1, since you have a different username, you've signed in with a different Dropbox account from before.

If you deleted the Dropbox account from the site, and the files are missing from the computer, then it would mean it isn't possible to recover the files from the Dropbox site.

However, it might be possible to recover the files from the local machine from the recycle bin, or using a third party app or service to do so.
