It's straightforward to get the revision (i.e. "rev") property from files with FileMetadata objects, but I noticed that there is no revision property for FolderMetadata objects.

I was hoping to use the revision property to detect when a folder name has changed, but it seems like this isn't accessible through the API right now. Is this correct?

For both files and folders, you can use the 'id' value from the FileMetadata or FolderMetadata object. That ID does not change when an item is renamed/moved, so you can use it to track items across such changes.
