I am opening a new thread to specifically request that the search engine searches in the IPTC Metadata.

Currently, the search engine searches by file name, and folder name and also looks for elements in the photos using the AI engine.

We want the search engine to index the IPTC metadata in order to be able to search with the photos' keywords.

 

I hope this is clear. Check the image below to make it clearer 🙂 Again, I want to search THOSE keywords shown below and get results

Oh wow! You are right! CONFIRMED - IPTC data (specifically keywords added in Lightroom) are now searchable via the Dropbox app. Tested with a photo exported right now.   

The IPTC data does NOT show within the dropbox app / info section on pictures, however, the search IS working.

hey @NikHatter - yep! I can’t see the Keywords inside the Dropbox mobile app, however, when I search on keywords I’ve tagged in lightroom (obscure unrelated keywords like ‘banana’ on a sunset), it brings up that photo. Excellent addition!
