Autosave Function for Office Suite

Autosave Function for Office Suite

Lauren_

Request for an autosave function for office suite that enables saving in the documents source location, instead of being limited to saving on One Drive. Our team uses Dropbox as our hub, and are lacking in the autosave function that we get with the Google Workspace suite.

Hi @Lauren_, thanks for contacting us!

Are you intending to edit the Office files via the native app on your computer, or by the online version available via the Dropbox site (when files are located in the Dropbox folder)?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,

Thank you for reaching out! The intention is to edit files in the native app on computer, but the files would be located/saved in a Dropbox folder. I hope that helps!

Hey @Lauren_, thanks for clarifying!

Keep in mind that this is a restriction coming directly from the Office software not Dropbox.

In any case, I'll forward your feedback to the appropriate areas so we can continue to improve.

You can always -and if it's convenient- work with Office Online, through Dropbox.

I hope this clarifies!
